This is a great app! It is extremely impressive and shocking how he can guess anything. However I do believe the character option needs some more work. A lot of times it can ask you the same question more than once, and sometimes it can guess too fast! For example if the bar was only halfway it can literally go all the way up with just a single question and gets it wrong. Overall the game is great.
I really like this app. I like it because when I'm bored or don't know what to do, I just hop on Akinator and start playing. This app does require you to watch a few ads when you're done guessing a character. It will say something like "You thought of a Rare Character!" And then you have to pick to watch an ad or buy the premium potion. Never have I bought the premium potion. I have always watched ads. But, other than watching ads and/or buying the premium potion, this game is really good 👍
I find this app hilarious. I enjoy how it's able to find out what you're thinking about through the data that other users have given, but I find the most fun in finding characters, objects, and whatnot that it had never been told of before. Though, I don't really appreciate how if you trick it, it doesn't reward you. I think it should give you a reward for being able to have a completely new character/object/whatnot. 😂
This is a wonderful app. Though I don’t know why, but I was one of the first people to guess a character before anyone else did guess the character. I got an Aki Award, a gold one.. This is confusing, but I don’t mind. On to the real reason. First times I played this, the game started to get weird. I didn’t know why! Whenever I turn kids mode on, when they guess the show wrong and I go to the list they show actors from movies. But when I turned kids mode off they showed what I was thinking. Though actors, wrestlers?? On kids mode?? I just don’t know anymore. Plus questions like, is your character dead? Married? Im not making you guys sad it has amazing ai that guesses everything
Come to think they would use a search engine for the so called “genie” to guess what you’re thinking. I originally assumed that it would be looked up piece by piece and it would go by the top matches, I guess not. There’s been a couple times where the game would have to take a minute until the next question to be asked, almost as if it was seriously thinking as a person would. And plus... He doesn’t always guess right! If you’re going for something really specific it might take a couple tries and bring up other guesses, some of which could be completely go out of the way of what you could be thinking. The questions get more specific as they are asked. Even better, questions and guesses can be filtered out to parent lock which pops up as you’re playing. It asks for no personal information and seems to be directly from pure human knowledge. You can even pick a category of things to describe, that being real and fiction animals or characters to any form of show or movie you can find them in! There are also rewards if the genie guesses right the first time and you can customize his appearance as well. The game is surprisingly simple considering how much it holds. I totally recommend this!!!!!!!
OMG! I recommend this app for you! He literally guesses everything. The only thing he had not guessed in the past 20 minutes was a movie called Clue! I totally recommend this app! You will not regret it at all! I wanted this app for fun, thinking it was not legit. So, I got the game. When I went into the game, the Home Screen looked so legit. But, of coarse I thought it was not. So I noticed you can change the categories and I chose Animal. He guessed it right but I figured it was just a coincidence. I then did a person. He guessed it right! I then noticed it might be legit. I kept on playing for about 10 minutes. Then he finally got it wrong a bunch of times and I had to tell it what it was. Anyways, I then kept on doing it for another 10 to 15 minutes and he kept getting it! I have done all the categories now. You see, this is my first day playing it so I am probably going to make another Review of some changes or something like that. You see, this game isn’t just legit, cool, and challenging. It is also fun! You have to be creative too in order for him to not guess it. Anyways, I totally recommend this app to you all! Trust me, you won’t regret it! Enjoy it!
I love this game, Akinator can guess things, but whenever I try to make him guess the character and I get the result. An ad pops up, I have to watch it to get the result and it's pretty lame, this app also has so many ads. I'm sick of it but still I like this game. I would give this game 5 stars anyway, it's crazy and impressive he can guess things right away
Ok, so I downloaded this to play with, so I didn’t expect anything. I legit had him guess Cas, Dean, and Sam from Supernatural cuz I love the show. And before I say this next part, I want you to know I’m not one of those attention seeking idiots who say “omg it guess my name and my address!” Ok? Just so we get that clear. I SWEAR this is true. Ok, so, a week or so ago, I had a dream telling me something pretty personal about myself. I’m not gonna say it, but yeah. I’ve been thinking about it a lot recently, but then I downloaded this. After playing with it for a bit, I went to “objects” and thought of something more, kinda spiritual, you know? Not gonna say that either. Sorry if you’re a very curious person! Anyhow, it didn’t guess what I was thinking of, but, from the DEPTHS OF MY BRAIN, (apparently) it guessed what I was told I was in my dream from a week ago. And I haven’t told ANYONE about the dream! Kinda scary, ngl! Well, if you were willing to read this long thang, you are the best and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! You are EXTREMELY patient, and a review reading weirdo like me! A super entertaining game although I think that the introduction of "watch an ad to find your rare character" was extremely unnecessary. I would rather just watch an ad every time the game is over. besides that though a very entertaining game that is playable at any time and something that when I get bored I suddenly remember I have this on my phone
Not really a complaint with the game itself, but it guesses characters too fast. I'll have a character that has criteria that somewhat fits another, but it'll guess that other one, repeatedly, and never guess the one I'm actually trying to get, making it really difficult to get the award for that character. On top of that, when it gets it wrong, there's like, a 70-80% chance it plays an ad that i have to sit through before i can go again. Otherwise, the game is perfectly fine.
I think that this game is very good but the only thing is that I am kinda running out of ideas to make him guess also it was taking him so long to guess stranger things and I love stranger things and it said that it was a rare character when I tried to make him guess max mayfield (stranger things) and I tried to do mike wheeler (stranger things) but it said he was also a rare character also I said that the main Charente was a alien when I tried to make him guess E.T but after I answered that he said is your main character a robot Like l literally just said that the main character was a robot also when I tried to guess stranger things it just kept saying was this actor in it and I know the actors but I mean some of them I was like ok I said Millie Bobby brown was on the show is it really hard to guess what show it is the same show that has Sadie sink in it oh yeah is like freaking slender man an actor are you serious like I just want to finally get to when he’s like oh it’s stranger things and be like I was so smart though it took me like 21 freaking questions to get it and then the picture for stranger things that I keep getting is like a guy with a camera also pls read this if your the game developers but you probably aren’t because you responded to like 8 out of like 990
Great game, impressing game too, but there are two problems, it sometimes stays frozen for like around 40 seconds, and the technical problem, I can't even open the game up, it doesn't even load, it just kicks me out of the game and doesn't let me join regardless of my internet coming back, but it continues to tell me to connect to the internet, that's the real issue so, it would be great if it gets fixed!
I like this game and I think it’s fun. However, it has major and very frustrating flaws. I had a ton of awards and had been playing for a long time and then suddenly I open the app and it’s erased all of my progress and awards. For no reason. Then also the whole thing where you get no points if you’ve come up with a character that the genie doesn’t get on the first try. I absolutely hate that. It’s so frustrating because you get rewarded for playing extremely rare characters but only if the genie guesses it right away. That’s so silly because you should definitely get some sort of award/extra points if you’ve beat the akinator. And sometimes the genie’s questions are really bad and it just repeats things a bunch of times so even if you are doing a pretty common character it won’t ask you normal questions so there’s no way to actually play that character. Then there’s the ads. There are so many ads on this game and they’re often unskippable for at least 15-30 seconds if not more. It’s annoying because I paid for this game so it seems unfair that I have to also watch so many ads on top of the price I paid. When this game is fun, it’s really fun. But lately it’s been shrouded by extremely frustrating glitches and about 4 times the amount of ads than normal.
Really cool idea, large database of characters. The biggest issue I'm seeing, he doesn't ask enough questions to really pinpoint the character. Between that problem and him using the exact same questions in linear order, it makes it almost impossible to get the "black" level rewards on certain characters. If he jumps to conclusions super early like he often does, you can't continue because you won't be awarded if he doesn't guess it on the first try. That part doesn't really make sense.
Fun game, but way too many ads and I keep getting blocked from finished due to 'answering irregularly'. I don't know if this is from clicking fast or something, but all of my answers are very clearly related to each other (made of stone, not from a beach, found underground, etc), and it still thinks I'm cheating somehow. Really takes the fun out of it when I'm not able to try to get unique subjects, which I thought was the whole point of it.
The game itself is pretty fun. It's a good concept, and it's executed well. The only problem I have with it is how many ads there are in the game. Did you make akinator guess an obscure character? Welp, you gotta watch an ad to see the result. Did you just get a character right? Oh, look, another ad! I can understand the ad after akinator guesses the character, but when you're checking if you got a rare character, there shouldn't be any ads.
I love this game, it is very entertaining and I have played it for hours. However, there are some major flaws with the game. The system guesses way too soon. Whenever you are going for a character you know is really rare, Akinator always guesses when you haven't given the system nearly enough input yet. Meaning it will always get it wrong. And when you finally get your character after many failed guesses, you aren't given the reward because of the systems failed guesses.
I would have given the app a 5 star review as my daughter & I were having loads of fun with it. However, we got "penalized" for "irregular game activity" or something like that. But we've only played it legitimately since we installed it. We did attempt the same character 3 times in a row, but I dont think players should be penalized for trying for the same character multiple times. I think you should have a better system in place for catching "irregular" players so innocent players dont suffer
Cool game. But a lot of times it just jumps to the simplest conclusion. For example: Q. Is your character a writer? A. Yes. Q. Is your charecter linked to the horror genre? A. Yes. Must be Stephen King, when it could be any number of horror authors. Gets old fast that it only gives you popular answers but punishes you when you're unable to give them more information about a charecter to guess. Giving you no ribbon.
Great game! But maybe you could have less ads? The ads take forever to load just for a "rare character" . Add more questions. By 1 hour of playing akinator I had seen the same questions 10 times. Start updating more to the game than just fixing bugs. Please remove some of the ads that play. Their annoying just to find out what he guessed. Those are all my complaints. Thank you!
I downloaded this app about 2 years ago, it was working fine the first day. The idea of the game itself is interesting. However, the second day I reopened the app and began to play, the game froze around the second question. And it kept doing this everytime I reopened the app. So, now I'll try to replay it again... Overall, I like the concept.
Pretty fun, however he doesn't get many animals or TV/movies correct. Not to mention whenever I get a rare _ I either have to buy a premium potion, watch an ad that either doesn't pop up or doesnt work, or click no thanks and repeat the whole cycle over again. It's quite annoying and pisses me off, but I do personally know what it's like to make games/apps like this, and I personally think you should fix some bugs and issues, put a little disclaimer that says the game is under progress.
Very nice game it passes time and keeps you busy but you should add more themes other than Characters,Objects,Movies and TV shows and animals such as games >board games,video games, Ect.< and places. There is also way to many Ads like why do I have to watch an ad to see my rare character,object,movie,TV show, or animal. Other than those very nice game!
I used to really love this app, I like the addition of daily challeges and i like the leaderboard. I can even deal with the constant ads and having to watch videos to see the guesses for premium characters but I dont like how there seems to be a limit on how many videos I can watch before the app just grays out the option and I can't find out if it guessed correctly.
This game is really fun but most of the time after you play it for a while or even for a little bit it does get a little bit boring which is the sad thing because it's really fun I do recommend to get it for when you're bored or on long car rides it's really fun to play but then ads pop up every time you guess a character after u do it pops up a damn add...
Ok so I like it but there is some flaws in it. 1. There is an add after mostly every time I get an award 2. The same challenges, it's soo annoying 3. It tries to trick you to not getting a reward by giving you a 0 answer. Plus even when I don't fall for the trick I don't get anything special. No new award or anything 4. They need more themes.

This is a very good game, but there are 2 main problems. For one, watching an ad when akinator guesses a rare character should not be required, and also, 2 times when i was trying to guess a not well known character, it said i was trying to steal and AKI award and changed my ranking from 60 to 3006! Why? Thats a cool feature and all but i was just trying to guess a rare character to get my rank up. Please change that.
The game is fun. However, a lot of characters are blocked behind a pay wall for being rare characters. You either pay $5 to not have ads and be able to see rare characters, or waste 30 seconds of your time watching an ad just so you can see if he guessed correctly. It is quite annoying. I can deal with the normal ads, but the blocking of the game's main purpose just to make a quick buck is angering to be honest.
It's good, but the adds are horrible. I remember this game being the most fun thing ever with friends, but now you can't look up a character without it being "rare" and needing to watch a add or pay to see them, and in my experience, most times the adds dont even work and it just grays out the button even though I watched the adds. Such a good game thats fallen from its old glory, I'll be uninstalling.
Used to be simple and a great game to pass the time and guess with other people. Now, you guess a "rare character" which is the goal of the game and it either makes you pay to see the guess or watch an ad. The only problem is the ads dont even play. So you're forced to skip it and not even find out his guess. The game is ruined. It's time to to say goodbye to an old classic. RIP.
Needs an option to opt out from the ranking/leaderboard system. I'm tired of getting penalized for falling for these "traps". I'm not trying to farm awards, I'm just curious on how rare whatever character the akinator recommends is. 9 times out of 10 I play again right afterwards to play my actual character. I'd rather just be able to play the game I've made in-app purchases on without worry of these frivolous penalties when I never wanted to compete in the first place!!
The game is really fun. I guess your character, you can guess an object, movie and other. But I have gotten a black belt 3 times! But when I go to watch an ad to claim it. It freezes, but the time bar at the bottom doesn't stop. I have good internet, and none of my games have been acting like that. Seems like the only way to get a black belt is to pay money in the game. Their too many adds and alot seem like their fake just so you know. Also I can't verify my account for some reason 🤨.
Way to laggy!!!! I kept trying to play and it just wouldnt let me!!! It used to work so well 5 YEARS AGO so i decided to get it again and try it out. It wouldnt even get past the white loading screen! It took almost 10 minutes for it to load, then it froze because in that 10 minutes, it only got a little more loaded! I only did 2 characters before it kept saying "technical error" every time i hit play! I cant play anymore! So disappointed. Please fix this! I miss this game so much!
The trick questions/answers are kinda new to the game, (at least since I've last downloaded) I get why the game does that, but it can be frustrating to deal with when you get docked points. Got an answer right but it thought I was lying, so, I lost points. All because I don't know if a "Jennifer Garner" plays a role in the tv show I've started watching and thinking of. Sadly after a couple failed, irritating, attempts to accept the right answer, unfortunately I'm not sure I want this app anymore
Instead of just playing the game they added a point system & micro transactions. If you make him guess certain characters, they are marked as rare and you have to watch an add to see if he guessed right. If he guesses wrong, it is your loss and not his. Either he gets it right, or you get it wrong. This seems like a quick cash grab, but I must give my respects to the developers. They got over 100M people to download this game, including me. I hope they are spending wisely
It would seem the poor genie, in his old age, has become a curmudgeonly old miser hell-bent on draining your wallet or your patience with equal fervor. If you manage to stump him he throws up an error and boots you back to the start, and if he does manage to guess your character and it ends up being "rare" you have to watch 2 back to back unskippable ads to see if it's correct. Just play the web version on a browser with an ad blocker installed, lord knows it runs better.
Doesn't work anymore. 90% of the time, Akinator will make a wildly incorrect guess before the progress bar is even half full. Go through the motions 20+ times per character, praying it will ask a relevant question this time, only for it to keep asking the same exact questions and getting it wrong every time. I paid for the full version several years ago because this used to be GREAT. Now, I'm about to delete it and never play again because they somehow broke perfection.
Great at first! And then... Loved playing it! Got 1st in the leaderboards, and tried really hard, then it said he thought I was faking it because I was answering too fast. I'm upset because he knocked me down to #238 from #1 place all because I was answering too fast! And another thing is sometimes it says I HAVE to pay to get a rare object, even though before it just let me watch an ad. It's frustrating and I'd rather spend my time doing something else at this point.
This was fun for a bit. Then I started thinking of obscure characters. I played for several minutes just for the app to say, "Oh, you're thinking of a rare character! You can't play anymore unless you pay!" Then your game just ends. I'm not paying four bucks to see a "rare" character. I WOULD have paid money for a game that doesn't use such insulting tactics to get at my money, though. Just charge up front if I can't play the game without paying anyway! Uninstalled!
It used to be such a fun game that I played when I was a kid but now there's an ad after every guess, a random audio that plays in the middle of the game itself, and the game won't even tell me if I've beaten the genie or not. No more screen that tells me that I did, just an ad and then random players with their highscore. Annoying.
