Love it!❤️ This is a really nice, thoughtful game on a lot of levels. You don't hit a paywall where you just can't play anymore until you cough up money, so you can just play a game. But there are some paid things that are enticing so you can do more. Beyond the main storyline, there are events and other side games to keep you busy (or help you grind) that are not only fun, but force you to see how different heroes play so you can cycle them into your rotation, I thought that was really clever because: It can be a little overwhelming.

Every aspect of this game lures you back daily, and keeps you around with plenty of interesting storyline gameplay and events. Join an alliance and make friends as you battle other alliances with your most powerful team on a battlefield that challenges your strategic skills. There are daily login bonuses and optional in-game purchases you can make, but they are not mandatory to be competitive and advance in the game. The game is put together very well, with colorful graphics and beautiful characters, each with unique background stories. I would like to see an option to try out team arrangements on other players' teams before committing to a battle, and the ability to see what heroes your alliance members have in their inventory in order to help them strategize their teams. This would help alliances find their full potential and also give everyone something to discuss. Another idea would be to have an enemy boss (maybe a dragon,) that allows your alliance to cooperatively battle daily for team rewards. Helping your alliance by seeing what heroes they have would definitely come in handy on something like that as well. Overall, it is a fun game that doesn't force you to be glued to your device, spend a ton of money, and allows you to play in your own time. I will be recommending CoA to several friends.

This is a great game with lots to do. Follow the story (or don’t), do the campaign, challenge others in battle, join an alliance, go on treasure quests, try to get a perfect score in every level, upgrade heroes, collect weapons…this game has it all!! The match 3 model is fun too! There are a lot of different kinds of currency, items, factions, etc. which gets a bit confusing but it’s fine. I also don’t quite understand how upgrading and equipping weapons works but the game is really intuitive and clearly indicates if there’s an action you can take to upgrade a hero or a weapon. Also I wish you could “dismantle” unwanted heroes because I have so many that I never use and I’ll never get enough coins and XP to upgrade and ascend them all. Some people complain about the “energy” model of the game. Personally, I’ve never been hindered by running out of energy and can always play as much as I want in a session. For me that’s typically 20-30 minutes or so. If you want to play for hours at a time for free, that will probably be an issue for you. I’ve not yet spent a penny but am planning to buy something eventually to support the developers of this great game! Greetings, Commander! We are glad that you appreciated the unique features of our game. Thank you for giving us a 5-star rating. We will keep working hard to provide the best gaming experience for you. Happy gaming!

Love this game so far! Saw an ad for it, knowing I like the match 3 puzzle type rpgs, decided to try and do not regret it! Very addicting and a favorite app for me. Enjoy the story and pretty much everything about it! Just a few nit-picky things that aren’t necessary to change but would be great to consider. I agree with other reviewers about the energy running out quick but as a person who spends way too much time on the iPad it is best that I give it a break for a bit. At least it doesn’t seem too difficult to regain exp, gold, and stone. I’ve already upgraded multiple heroes in the past few days and I have at least 30 total. Though part of me would like it if you could exchange unwanted heroes for possible ascension materials or get gold and exp potions back. Much like you can already do with the weapons at the blacksmith. I see why the game is how it is though! Each character is unique and has a special story to them so collecting them to see that is cool. The only reason I want that changed is because I want to keep my hero list more organized and I’d hate to just have unused heroes sitting there. But overall a fantastic game and I hope to play more!

Great strategy + puzzle game! There's more to do than there are hours in the day, especially if you play PvP & join active group. Like most games it starts easy, then there's some grind as you master basics. That's when things get interesting as you see how many different ways to build your heroes and handle combat. Devs are responsive and regularly add new features and ways to play. It's definitely more fun if you can spend a little IRL cash, but not necessay. Great community!

I've been playing this game for a while. Yes, there are in-app purchases, but there are many in-game ways to get resources you need. The game is very strategic with the team-building aspect. This isn't your normal gems game. It requires some thought about which matches give you an advantage without giving the AI an advantage. The game is slow in the beginning since you won't have many heroes, but in time you get better heros and can increase their power and effectiveness. All in all, an amazing rpg game.

The game had two serious flaws. One was fixed. One still has not after a year. 1. All of the characters and buttons are large, hundreds of pixels wide, but each and every one of them has only a couple pixels where you can activate them. I don't have this problem with any other similar games 2. Battle animations took way too long but they added the capability to speed them up.. The rest of the game is pretty fun and relatively fair, even without spending money

Very fun match 3 game with great art and an interesting enough storyline. Like others have said it suffers for the fact that it uses the usual energy mechanic to entice players into spending money. I’d be more interested in spending money if I could play the game for more than 10 to 15 minutes at a time with hours of waiting in between. With all of the microtransactions already available in the game it seems self defeating to limit energy and active play time just to make a little more. There’s a battle pass that starts at 9.99 with a premium version as well, and plenty of different bundles for currencies and summons so the energy mechanics on top of it makes me lean away from spending anything at all. I mentioned in the survey that it also seems odd to extend play time through energy when I’ve already hit a difficulty/power barrier 3 stages in. That feels completely appropriate as a slowdown so adding energy on top of it feels like too much. I’d love to see a change to energy recovery at some point, it would be a pretty substantial improvement in my opinion. Greetings! We are glad that you like our game! :) Thank you so much for such a voluminous and detailed review of the game! It is, indeed, very important to receive timely and detailed comments on how we can improve our game! Thank you! There are many more interesting and exciting things ahead of you! We will always be glad to see you in our Facebook group - https://www.facebook.com/CallofAntia/. You can also write to us with any questions in in-game support. We wish you a pleasant game!

Love the animation in the game. The board interactions and the special skill animations are amazing. Having weapons, runes, and artifacts adds something different to this 3 match game. If you're a F2P player, you really won't have to spend money in the game. My 2 issues with this game are as follows. 1. The drop rate for 5* heroes are way too low (been playing for a month and only have 1 5* hero so far). 2. There are WAY TOO MANY microtransactions in this game. It takes away from the game.

Great gameplay and graphics overall. I've mostly skipped through the story cause I wanna focus on the game, but from what I've seen it looks good as well. My only complaint is that there's no way to reset a hero after you've upgraded them, so if you get a hero with higher stars later, you've pretty much just thrown out your rss. It's really frustrating to put rss into a hero only to get something better later and having to wait ages to get enough material to upgrade and ascend. Great otherwise.

Pretty fun to start because they give you a lot of stuff early in the game. After you hit about the 14th area the difficulty scaling really jumps. You can't obtain items you need to power up your characters though until the 17th area. Difficulty jump from hard to expert is bonkers for fallen titans. I can beat hard in 45 seconds and I cannot beat expert for the same one. Pretty much have to spend your money if you want to progress after a certain point. Alliance wars far too often.

Good animations and character dialogs. Definitely something that can pass some time. Does seem that the IGC(In Game Currency)is a bit steep for what you get with them, but that's the same with most games. Those who want, could definitely pay to progress easily and level up characters I suppose, but honestly doesn't seem necessary. Decent game overall

Same old, same old. Match diamonds, absurdly low drop rates, barely any bad luck protection. Yep, this is your typical gotcha puzzle game. The art and effects are very well done, despite not being 3D (as one of the screenshots say otherwise 😑) but that's not a problem. it's easy on the eyes with its beautiful 2D artwork and special effects. Now there's nothing new here but If you like puzzle games this is probably the best out next to the Magic the Gathering one.

This game is pretty good. But I do have a few hitters that bugs me. When I go to do gold and exp quests the game freezes saying connecting. Now I know for a straight fact it's not on my end when I have high speed internet. I never had this issue with any game before till now. If possible you guys should fix that bug asap. I would give this game a better rating if that bug is fixed.

The graphics are charming and there's enough variation on the traditional match 3 formula to keep things fresh. However, the game is quite stingy with both the currency to roll for new cards and the stamina needed to play stages. Unlike other modern gacha games, it doesn't even try to draw you in by giving you generous amounts early on, but instead spams you with offers to spend money. I'll give it some more time, but I don't see it feeling fresh and lasting long unless you spend money.

It's just another one of these games, except extremely unbalanced and bare bones. Like all these games, you have a team power rating that means absolutely nothing. I lost to teams with 10000 less power, because there are a few characters that are overpowered. If you are going to play it, read the story bits. You get clues on how to beat the level sometimes.

Pay to win. Anything involving battling against other players requires $ to keep up and lots of it. I've been playing this game for a few months now and have only received 1 5-star character despite spending more than a fair share. You receive 1 free spin a day for new characters. Guaranteed 5-star character ever 85 spins or purchased in a $20+ bundle. Spins cost a few dollars, but unless you can wait, you c will hit a point where you have to wait. Uninstalled.

So decent match 3 game. Good artwork, slow progression. So after several more hours of play, and several updates, the devs got GREEDIER. they put in a new event that you CANT benefit from unless you spend real money. It's nothing but another cash grab. Enjoy the first few chapters then when you hit an upgrade wall either busy out your wallet or uninstall. As I just did.

I initially had a great time with this one and love the gameplay. Unfortunately once your characters hit level 120 you hit a massive paywall (you need ascension items that only appear rarely and randomly without paying money for them) and all progress grinds to a halt. It's a shame. I want to keep playing this game, but I'm giving it up because I'm not willing to spend a month to break a single character past the 120 threshold without paying.

The amount of collecting needed to upgrade your characters, dragons, buildings, equipment, runes, and the list continues... is daunting and exhausting. The amount you can earn each day does not feel like you are making progress. The core of the game would be fun with better rewards. Also, nothing like the ads, just sayin.

This has the potential to be a great game. Sadly, it falls short I've lost interest in continuing. It takes too long to level. I suppose if you have boatloads of money it might be fun. I have already spent all I am willing to spend. If you're downloading this for diamonds on Design Home, don't bother. The rewards are unachievable; be faster to just buy diamonds! Download something else It's too bad really. I liked the game but not enough to stay.

I’ve played tons of games like this. It costs energy to play the game. Energy regenerates really slow. This is done to entice players to buy more energy. I understand you need to make money off your game, but gating play time behind energy is dumb. I hate games that do this. I don’t mind spending money on summons and stuff like that. But don’t turn your game into an arcade machine. “Insert coin to continue”. If you want to get players hooked on your game, keep them actively playing. I’m not saying make energy unlimited. There just needs to be a better balance. If I run out of energy after 10 minutes, the last thing I want to do is spend $ or gems to refill it. It makes me want to exit the game, uninstall, and find a game that gives me enough resources to play for more than 10-20 minutes and spend money in THAT game because in THAT game I feel like I’m getting my money’s worth. This game has good bones, good voice acting, the art style is nice and I’m actually interested in the story line (which is rare for a mobile game). This isn’t a bad game. They just need to let their players actually play it so they will be enticed to spend money on summons and other things instead of gating their play time behind energy that runs out in a few minutes and then takes hours to recharge on its own. Greetings! Thank you for your feedback! Energy is really very important in our game, and we try to diversify the ways of getting it for all types of players. We will take your comment into account and add it to our database of all players! Thanks! If you have any other tips or suggestions for improving the game, we would always love to hear them. Nothing like the ads.... This game is absolutely nothing like the ads, which annoys me, but its developers do work consistently on it. With the right heroes it's very engaging, although I wish they would fix the story text scrolling and just get someone native in each language to write the narration. It's not a ton of information and would make a difference for immersion.

After playing this game for years, spending time and money developing characters, teams, and strategies, all of my progress has been wiped. I took a break for a few months and just picked it up again. It gave me the option of staying on my server or switching to a new server. No where did it ever indicate that all my characters would be lost if I switched to a new server. It's irreversible and I'm pissed. Game is uninstalled and I will never play again.

I would have given this game no stars, but in order to write my review I'm forced to give one. This game is just another pay to play/win. So far I've gotten stronger without spending, but in order for me to get good characters or more items, more money is needed. It's a good game to pass the time when bored, but this isn't a breakthrough game. Just another cash grab; just devs trying to con everyone out of money, but yet get pissy when people cheese the game.

This ***USED*** to be a fun game. Great mechanics, needed to use strategy to make teams, choose weapons, etc. HOWEVER, after the last 2 major updates, the game has become one big money grab. You can't effectively participate in anything but the lowest tiers of the game unless you spend major $$$$$. After the most recent update (adding the dragoneer -- another thing to suck up your cash) I quit.

The actors in the commercials/ads can't even get the name of the promotion gimmick character correct. Having an in-game clause that is mandatory to agree to, which contains policy and privacy issues doesn't bode well either. This isn't a social media site. It's a video game. Developers get money and the consumer plays because it's fun. That's all there is or needs to be. Though for some reason most match three type games seem to be more screws to the player than anything else in the store.

Music cannot be turn off even tho I've tried many times from the option menu. I have to mute my phone is I want to play this quietly. The game is also very slow. There too many animations. I am playing on an older phone (oneplus6) and It is also very laggy. Over all it was not a fun experience. Oh and another thing. The game look nothing like the advertisement.

The game play is actually kind of fun. The problem is when you do have a problem, their support is awful. I encountered a game breaking error which stopped me from being able to progress. I contacted them with their chat in game and didn't receive a response outside the automated system. Next day, the chat is gone so I try again. This time, they respond only to say they responded to my first (now gone) chat and just closed the one and wouldn't respond to any follow up request.
