I like the Dexcom G6 overall. I like how it keeps constant track of my glucose and how easy to read it is and how it alarms me if it gets high. What I don't like about it is I have to keep my phone within 20 feet of me at all times or it could loose connection. That is not very far. It also keeps losing connection a lot no matter how close I keep it. I'm still giving it time it to settle in and for me as well since I'm only on my 5th day with it.

UPDATE: It looks like they fixed the issue finally (5/5/2024). So glad zi can see my numbers clearly now! They sent through an update that makes the text black even when you're in Dark mode. So it's nearly impossible to read your numbers. It's so frustrating because Light mode hurts my eyes at night. But I have to leave it light mood to be able to read my numbers because I wear glasses. And it sounds like they have no intention of fixing this. So frustrating.

Like others, I can no longer read my numbers in dark mode. Please change this back or allow a setting for us to change the font color. I can no longer quickly glance at my number at all while busy. Not only that, but I seem to lose connectivity a LOT more with the new version. Am using my Omnipod controller to see my sugars instead. This update was a SIGNIFICANT step backwards!! Edit: after 6mo it's finally fixed 💯

Your app has begun to lose connection with the transmitter regularly. 5-10 times per day at this point. Luckily my omnipod actually stays connected but the app is terrible. I have to turn off my Bluetooth and back on and hope that it connects otherwise I get max volume screeching that I've lost connection. It was fine before about a week ago. Not sure what you guys did but you need to fix it.

Ok all is well except for the annoying alerts where you're low/ high but you already saw that it's low/high and it keeps buzzing my head off because my sugar didn't shoot up or drop instantly. Instead of having a swipe to silence. It should be swipe to acknowledge or have an acknowledgement button. This would just temporarily silence the alarm for a given amount of time that you can choose (15 mins up to 2 hours) to give your glucose a chance to get back in range without the alarm going crazy.

There is no way to enter notes or comments when entering events. You can't enter the foods you ate, only the carbs. You can't enter more that 50 units of insulin at a time. So, in order to enter 60 units, you have to enter 50 and the other 10 in another entry. There is no way to adjust the y scale in the graph. All the insulin events look the same height, it would me much better to have height difference between 10 units and 50 units (for example). The sensor s/n is not available in the app.

I really love my dexcom, but I misplaced my device so thought I would try the app. So far, the app is ok, although it got a little buggy when trying to put in the numbers for the sensor. My biggest complaint though is there is no dark mode! For the love of everything, please include a dark mode! White screens are awful and hurt the eyes, especially when checking alerts in a dark room. I personally would be more than willing to change this to five stars if dark mode was added.

Captures data but not INFO! Unlike other apps, G6 only captures numeric data points. You can't add text notes, which is limiting when you want to mark discussion points like "I'm spiking here on no carbs" or want to list meals, not just carb grams. Other devices and apps allow both, so there's clean data for reporting/graphing, plus the ability to log types of activity, etc. for review with medical providers.

This app drains the battery in my phone, galaxy S10, in a couple of hours. I even replaced the battery thinking that would help. It didn't. The only reason I keep it installed is that it is easier to read when I need to study a trend than the little device, so I "force stop" the app when I don'tneed it. Even that requires I do so regularly. Someone needs to redesign the software Dexcom uses.

Had the app for close to a week. 6 days. It started to give missed readings, off by 30 or more. Then wouldn't stay on..app kept closing. The follow app stopped around 5 this evening so no readings happening. I finally talked my dad into getting 1 and this starts to happen. Something needs to be done. There needs to be better "how to fix" options out there.

This app is average at best. It seems dumbed down to meet the needs of the lowest common denominator. Perhaps a lot of this is out of Dexcom's control because of FDA approvals, but the lack of options is very frustrating. For instance, ALL of the app's alarms should be able to be set to vibrate (instead of completely silencing all the alarms). Also, the app should allow alarms to reoccur at greater frequency and increase in volume for those of us who are deep sleepers. Dexcom, you can do better!

Absolutely ridiculous!!!! How does a multimillion-dollar company not have the ability to produce an app that can actually sync up with a Bluetooth its device. This app constantly disconnects from the sensor, tried this on 2 different phones now and I'm done wasting my time trying to get this damn thing to work properly. It's bad enough you play little games with its compatibility. If every other Bluetooth device had the problems that this device has nobody would even bother with it. What a joke

Had app for 3 weeks before dexcom in their infinite wisdom decided that they would no longer support my phone. When out and bought a phone (expensive) that was on the list and 4 days later app said that the phone I was using is no longer supported. Stay away from dexcom if you need or want to use it on your phone. It only works on 1000 dollar phones and even then not without problems. As a matter of fact I did not see a single review I'm which the phone app worked like it should. Disappointing.

The latest version is eating up a lot of battery now. App needs a lot more work. For the price we are paying without insurance this apps needs a lot more work. First, not sure why it rotates by itself even though I have auto rotate turned off. The ability to notate medication or food or sleep is non existent. I have BBQ thermometers with more features than this. Emails to developer go to unmonitored email account.

I am so irritated over the last several weeks of constant "not responding ", "close app", "send report" requests. Happens multiple times a day, sometimes several times in an hour. Attempt to send a report don't seem to do anything? I am noticing too many other Dexcom users in the same boat and nothing is fixed. Don't know if it is an app issue my pump dispensing correction doses incorrectly or not but these yoyo episodes are not my baseline.

Had this app installed earlier in January with little to no issues with it. I was waiting for my new supplies to come in which took a while but the app was still working fine. They are here after paying a lot of money only to find out my phone is no longer compatible with this app. I see that others are having this issue as well I just can't figure out why the sudden update happened without any sort of notice ahead of time.

I've checked on this app every once in a while for years since starting up with the Dexcom CGM again. Imagine my absolute delight when I found that my phone was now supported!! I got to use the app (and my spouse used the Follow app) for a few weeks... when all of a sudden our phones are no longer supported again?! Beyond frustrated with the whole thing.

The app is failing dismally since the update. It just stops at least 1 time per day and doesnt send any critical alerts unless you see that it stopped and restart the app. Worrysome when it happens while you are sleeping. Big loss of confidence. As requested, I submitted a support request. Waste of time. They called late at night which I missed (was asleep) and gave the routine response for a new sensor which is not the problem. Omnipod 5 can only be used with D6 so I will have to drop them too

This app has continued to go down hill, and now it's almost unusable. It stopped sharing, it keeps asking me to re log in, there is an update in my play store that has refused to update for months, and sometimes notifications sound, and sometimes they don't. For something that is supposed to be able to alert us to life threatening blood sugars, it certainly needs a lot of work still.

Used to work just fine. But for months now it spends more and more time with signal loss. And completely unable to display results. It's not a transmitter problem and not a sensor problem. Those have been changed and replaced. Blutooth has been toggled on and off when suggested. All settings match what was needed. The app is fully updated. It's a waste of time and money.
