It somehow never occurred to me that Fastmail might have an app. I'm very happy with it. One of the best parts is that it clears the notifications almost immediately if you mark new emails as read from another device. But it does everything else well too. I'm not a heavy email user on my phone, but I do want to be able to see emails as they come in, and it works very nicely for that.

Not the best at every single thing but definitely the best at everything! The best combined solution for mail, calendar, files, contacts etc. made compatible with most software and services via compliance with standards. I use DAVx5, Outlook, Thunderbird, cloud services and much more. Fastmail just works with them all, and runs smoothly. I'm picky and in a hurry, but Fastmail support always deliver.

this app has reminded me what computers are for. simply and quickly getting things handled then moving onto more important things in life. no ads no data mining, no selling my data to other companies that waste my tim, no distractions. just a super effective fast app and service that get me off the screen ASAP. Using the app feels too simple because its so well thought out and is not trying to distract you with ads. They have super easy integrations with gmail to make switching effortless.

Finally, I found a paid email provider that gives me easy control over my daily emails and without any ads. For just €3 per month, it's definitely worth it.

Favorite mail service. I've tried many over the years and this is the one I jive most with. I love using my own domain with unique addresses everywhere I need one.

I submitted a quality-of-life feature request to make the back button cancel any selections you might have instead of quitting the app, and the devs actually got around to implementing it several months later. Love the service and the app. Keep it up guys!

I have been using Fastmail for years (mostly the web interface). It just works. It is the anti-gmail. So I have to say the mobile app on Android is also excellent.

Gets the job done fast and efficiently. My partner and I enjoy having a separate shared inbox for bills and other services and a shared calendar. Masked aliases keep my actual email address private. Has an option to purchase custom domains. Only wish the app could function a bit better whilst offline. It is affordable and it eases my mind knowing customer service is there quickly if needed. Not sure why it doesn't have a higher rating.

I've been using Fastmail for several years and have consistently seen thoughtful improvements throughout that time. It's slick, practical, and highly reliable. From email and calendar to files, notes, and contacts—Fastmail offers a comprehensive suite that’s both private and secure. It ticks a lot of boxes for me. True to its name, Fastmail delivers speed and efficiency, and in my opinion, it offers excellent value for money. I’m excited to see what new features they’ll roll out next. All Good!

The App was crashing about a month ago, however, after having several discussions with support, it is likely my phone or settings within the phone. The problem went away by itself, so to speak, so I am not sure exactly what caused it as I did not make any active changes. Support was knowledgeable and went beyond standard information and fixes that seem the endpoint for many customer service representatives. I have been using the service for years and this was the only issue I have had

Fastmail has good security products. The phone app has no offline usability and this stops it from having 5 stars.

If you have a fastmail account, this is the best way to read email on the service. Why? Because uses the built in fast search. This client will also follow settings you have set in the web client. Notifications suck in this client. I frequently get a new mail notification in the client, click on it to launch the app... And the new mail isn't in the list. Until I refresh the list. Or, I see a notification for a message I already read and deleted.

I'm updating my review to 3 stars because clearing the cache and data after uninstalling and reinstalling the app solved the login issue. The old version's interface was much better. ******The old app version was great. I was disappointed with the new version but at least it worked, until yesterday. Please undo whatever update just went through because now I can login online fine but I can not login on the app.

Decent app, but clearly not designed for mobile. There's no calendar widget. UI could really use a coat of paint with to match latest Android UI. The app may not be very good, but Fastmail as a service is exceptional. I hope they'll improve the app at some point.

Good Service, Terrible app. While I'm enjoying using the service with my custom domain and the web application is really good, this app is just bad. It's overcrowded, labels don't display well on the email list and overall the app feels very dated. I've decided to use a third party client instead. I can't even keep the app installed, as even after removing notifications from both the apps internal settings and my phone, it continues to display a notification badge on each new email. Not good.

Look, I get it you think you need to keep "improving" things, making little changes here and there but please just stop. If it works just leave it at that. This new weird thing you're doing with the long press is messing with how it's always been. Ignore whoever told you you need to change it and put it back. The long press timing has been changed so now opens an email if you don't hold it long enough and has ruined muscle memory. Just change it back and stop messing with things.

Interacting with the app when you have slow internet connection is probably the worst experience I can imagine. Uploading photos, even small ones, takes a gargantuan amount of time. You can't even interact with the app if you don't have a fast connection, you'll just get a spinning icon. Just horrific app design.

Scandalous: cant read mail on the way to work! Wont open without Internet, can't read or write mail, no outbox. Most chat apps can do that! Train tickets sent by mail can't be accessed at the station. Can't link hrefs from emails: embbeded walled garden, a browser without your passwords! Can't copy paste image links so login emails don't work! N.B. Fastmail is NOT an email service, don't support POP or IMAP Still after year. New misfeature! download to cloud, ie can't download attachments!
