How to Use

I love how I can personalize the app. It's a great app and I have never had any problems with the app However the app is not free it costs $4.32
I would definitely do a 5+ across the board, but it's the ads that can be a little annoying. Now, I know it has a "premium" option that removes all of the ads. The last msg app I had was free & it didn't have all of these ads. I know, maybe that's why it was no longer used by Google🙄 That's totally irrelevant,p, can you please just lighten up on some of these ads? It's an excellent app & I don't want to not have it anymore! ;)
I like this except for a couple things. There are a lot of spam messages. Very annoying. I'm used to seeing the little box that says sent at the bottom of the messages. I just assume it goes through now. Otherwise, this is all I need and works. I'm not techy and wasn't thrilled that Verizon is discontinuing their messaging app, but this is simple enough for me. Thanks!
Overall I like it's appearance and reliability. My default texting app would not receive texts from certain friends. This app solved the problem. So why not a 5 star rating? My group contact occasionally disappears and you have to dig into the program to reacreate it. Plus some of the ads are for other text apps which will want to replace this one as my default. This one works great and you don't replace apps that are already getting the job done.
I have had problems with pictures send arriving over 4 days later. I did opp to pay so not to get advertising as I have had huge delays in replying to text messages with many people are waiting for a reply.
Would be much nicer if the color of the font could be changed in the main menu. The light purple is hard to see and a darker color or black or white would be ledgable.
I like this app for messaging, since I don't have the Verizon text messaging anymore, and since Google messages won't allow me to use it properly. one thing I don't like about the app is that when I do group messages, I don't receive them in the actual group; I get them individually. so, I either have to respond to each person individually, or do it in the group, but still receive individual messages.

There should also be a way to turn off the 'boost' feature. It gets really annoying when every time I install an app a pop up shows up about boosting said app. Edit: after a few weeks of using it incoming messages instead of being given as normal notifications are now plastered onto my screen

So far, I really like this app! it's fun, easy to use and have very nice wallpapers ðŸ˜. The only downfall for me are the ads of course, but it's not too bad 😕.I also wish they add more wallpapers, just more choices! The only other thing is that I don't like that it needs permission to draw over other apps. It gets in my way when my phone rings and sometimes, it shows wrong calls. Otherwise, I really like the app.
No premium version, only way to remove ads is by inviting people to the app and you get a month no ads. Can't text files that are too large. 11 second video is too big >.> Update post dev response: They've added a paid subscription model. If that's you're thing, it's better in that it is a more consistent way of having the pro version. Personally, I don't join subscription models but it's a nice user experience update.
Messenger plus plus is no longer available or it won't be as of November 7th and I tried this one and I like it because you have some options for the bubble color and that kind of stuff which makes it easier for me to read it without my glasses lol But the ads drive me nuts. There's like one at the top and one at the bottom. And I'm not used to having the ads and I don't like them. So I have to find a different messaging app.
So easy to use and fast. I feel like I have more organization with my texts. Lots of features to try out. UPDATE: I liked this app so much that I decided to buy a subscription. Immediately I started getting SPAM texts? What happened?? It is too time consuming to block each individual number. I did not have this much spam on my previous free version of a texting app.
Too many ads. I'm not going to buy a single thing any of the ads are selling me, so they're rather pointless. As soon as you install the app a giant ad comes up you can't get out of. When it finally disappears, there are ads in between your messages (that I will also never click on). It really is a waste of a good messaging app, because other than the ads I liked it. Pro version far too expensive to make it worth not just switching to one of the myriad of free sms apps. Do not recommend. D+
Great quality app, but there is one major flaw that's just a deal breaker. It does not seem to support group texts. It shows that someone texted you privately when in a group chat. You have no ability to respond on the group (you don't even know it is a group to begin with), you don't know who's in the group, and it gets very confusing. Would absolutely switch back to it if this were fixed.
please remove the search feature or allow us to turn it off anyone can search a text message even from private box and not only that it shows every picture ever sent and received that's a huge security Risk please remove this we all like your app except for this feature!!! Remove this and we will go back and we will all give you five stars reviews!
Textra is able to send big videos and pictures with no issues. I do like the private box, but it's not real private unless it's auctualy hidden outside the application. Also, your notification part does not work at all. One thing that is majorly annoying and it doesn't seem to fix, is that messages (all of them) appear and disappear like every 2 seconds when your trying to view them. Y'all need to get ALL that fixed. I don't mind the ads. Private box need to be more private.
I was unable to even use this app before my phone suggested uninstalling it due to excessive alerts and the need to put it into a deep sleep so it is obviously a problematic app. What's more is there is an incredibly redundant "a" at the start of the app name. I assume this is so it annoyingly sits at the top of app lists or something but its immature and gimmicky and makes me trust you even less.
I was forced to find a new texting app and gave this a shot, and sorry I did. Scrolls through all mesgs when you try to look at new mesg sent to you. When sending pics or videos it always says "mesg not sent. Tap to try again" but never resends them. Way to many ads, and very easy to hit one when trying to tap on your text, and then difficult to get out of. Finally premium service is way too expensive. Going to look for better app!!
It prompted me to "register", asking for a credit card. They claimed they would not bill anything to the card. As soon as I entered the numbers, there were three attempts at withdrawing money from the account. My bank's fraud system emergency emailed me about this attempt. I replied that I authorized nothing like that. My bank froze the card. This app developer may be fraudulent. The bank said it was payment to a sports streaming service, which I have never paid for such a service.
it's a nice app. Just can't get the text message tone or receive notifications that someone sent me a message. none of it works.
So, I was protected before I was forced to download this app. Now if I want add free I have to pay an additional cost to my bill. AND, I don't have to tell anyone reading this because you already know that the adds are Google driven to rid you of their annoying in app purchases. So, I'll be using my call settings more often now. This app is annoying and a breach of privacy. 👎
Slows phone and operates very slowly. The cursor doesn't keep up with keystrokes.As time goes on it becomes horribly slow and many messages fail to send.Definitely going to look for a better app
Nope. Would not get this ever. If you dont have a line, you cant text on it. It will not let you send messages. So, if u wanna use this, make sure u have a line. I dont so it's not working. But if you are someone who needs a app to text on with no line, there are 2 apps I know that work amazing. Skype' and voice those 2 are so useful. I text my mom on voice every time and it works just fine.
Like many others, I was FORCED to switch from Message+ so I thought I'd try this. First, it is SO SLOW. Slow to open, load, type, and send. Don't get me started on the ugly ads. The absolute worst part was that ALL of my text threads opened at the very first text. Scrolling through ALL of my texts to read the newest one was the nail in the coffin. Hopefully an app as functional and aesthetically pleasing as Message+ will be created soon because this is not it! Absolutely do not recommend.
