IT'S TOTALLY WORTH IT! Tried pro & had an issue. Requested & received refund. Within that time the Developer had responded to my issue, pushed a fix & released an update! So I re-purchased the pro version again.
I would now consider this the top IDE on Android, it might not pack everything like my last IDE but it's much more usable and responsive. The dev is fixing bugs and adding useful features, like the recent addition of context based auto complete was great, it really speeds up phone dev. Also this IDE isn't only for for web files, I only use it for dart. Update: been 2 years and I still use it. Thanks!
Decided to upgrade to the paid version. I like to make money for my efforts so I try to support other people's efforts as well. I'm glad I did because I just saw that I can edit my Termux source files directly in Acode. Now I just need to figure out how to adjust the version of javascript to recognize new syntaxes. Great editor! Hope to see new features as time goes by.
Amazing code editor, the best out there by miles as far as I'm aware (and I've tried many of the popular ones). Great efficient UI, and has a very large key-combo shortcut variety with full customisability! Has good programming language specific auto-suggest features too. Also works butter smooth.
This probably is one of the few apps I'm fine with paying for. I had the free version for a bit and then decided to pay. I like how im able to edit my code from pretty much anywhere and just push it to my github when im done. I love how you're able to even preview what your working on (app or website). As a developer this is really useful. so far this is great. Thank you for the experience.
I've been using this app for a few years. And I have to admit the plug-in system, literally is the cherry on top for this app ATM for me. Now we have Termux Integration. CLI Integration. Plus all the different syntaxes already available. The sky is kind of the limit here. This is probably tied for #1 as one of my best purchases on Google Play...
exceptional app, and with nice design too! in this one i find features that I didn't find elsewhere .. I'm working alot with json files and this one has a good highlighting for them .. also you can easily manage blocks of code .. and alot more .. and the developer is very good person, already got a little problem with the app and he helped me very quickly :]
love it, there's a bug with search in big projects it causes app to crash other then that I code here all the time

So I re-purchased the pro version again. 😠Just the settings alone are worth paying this developer for their time. I don't code, but I can't stand browsing source or logs without syntax highlighting. Now I never have to remote into my desktop to view data! Pay for this, you won't be sorry.

I evaluated several high-rated IDE's. Acode was the winner. It has many convenient features such as Emmett (use shorthand to generate html elements), a quick-actions bar with copy line, move line and more, and it has a ton of keyboard shortcuts. It also supports word wrap. Acode doesn't hide your files in impenetrable "projects" like one of the other apps. I enjoy using it. It's well thought out, mature, and has all the features I hoped for. It is worth well more than the $3.99 I paid for it
This app is the Best on the playstore, It is an impressive IDE text editor with a ton of useful tools & features. However, some U.I elements are confusing & anti productive, especially if you are doing multiple projects. but thankfully the developer is active & is constantly improving the app & is open to feed back. i only took away a star because there is no simple/time effective way to switch between projects, apart from that, this app is pretty much perfect & worth the price of admission
Find-and-replace with regex was what I was looking for, a full and beautiful text editing experience is what I got. Regex doesn't allow for multi-line matching, and there is no option to replace with new lines, but I can do most everything within this app itself. Excellent development, thank you.
I tried a few android editors and this one seems to be the best one and it is worth paying for. But some critical plug-ins like Github seem not to be working anymore. Online tutorials are not in sync with the UI. The major feature requests on my side: -git support, especially Github. -typescript language server. -auto imports.
Overall great app, worth the price to upgrade. However, there is currently a pesky bug involving the "soft tab" option. Disabling "soft tab" works initially. However, upon closing and reopening the app, spaces are inserted on tab, though the "soft tab" box remains unchecked. The "soft tab" option must be enabled, then disabled again, to fix the issue. I hope to see this issue fixed in the future!
Acode is the leading android mobile code editor. However, I will like that the terminal should allow a copy and paste of terminal commands. It's usually difficult typing out commands every time. Also, there should be a way to store most used terminal commands which you can quickly pick from. I just noticed that when a text is highlighted, and you decide to write a new text, a bunch of unhighlighted texts will be cleared off. This is not good enough. Please fix.
I would have rated this app higher. But I seem to not be receiving the support for the paid version also. I am unable to upload files into my repository from the mobile file system, despite all access. The progress bar just triggers and there is no file uploaded. Like a dummy dead function. This was the most critical feature for being able to upload files to the GitHub repo on the go. Despite several emails to the team there has been no response.
This app has been misbehaving since. Anytime it's opened, every change gets lost. While clearing(backpace), it either freezes or doesn't work at times.
Acode + Termux did not work... at all. I can't even run my c++ files due to permission denied. I tried everything and nothing works. Hell, I even tried sudo/su/tsu but I can't because I am not root or a superuser. Add a built-in terminal or update your app that can run programming files. I want a refund because there is no point in using this app.

Nearly every update comes with a catastrophic bug. Today, it's impossible to move the cursor except via keyboard "move cursor" shortcut. Before that, the settings window wouldn't close if opened. Before that, destruction of the activity cleared the windows of unsaved files. Before that, opening a fille created a new tab instead of switching to the previous instance. I wonder how long it'll take to fix the cursor, and if the patch will be one of the 20% of updates that are actually usable.
