Even though you can’t connect through your home network, this software will connect to the LabelWriter Wireless via direct connect. It’s obvious if you read the instructions and set it up wirelessly. The only thing is you have to install software onto a computer and connect via USB to turn the access point back on. The features are fairly simplistic but it gets the job done much easier than trying to set up a template in Word and manually loading each envelope.

The Dymo Connect app works fine on Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and iPhone 11 Pro Max, but is buggy on Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Dymo developers, please take a note of it. When you tap on Add Text, the text editor shows up. This editor is transparent, and I can see the app window behind it. You can type in the editor, but cannot tap on either the OK button, or the Cancel button. Luckily I had an old Android phone (Galaxy Note 4) and the app is working fine there. The iPhone app also is working fine.

There's a trick to this app once you finally get it connected to your phone but its horrible otherwise if you dont as it won't connect at all. I have a galaxy S9 , and im using the wireless Labelmaker. This printer won't work if the WiFi on your phone isn't turned on first before going into the actual app which sucks. If I go on the app first then turn my wifi on my phone on the app won't work. The fonts are limited, it won't close if you keep pressing the back button.

Although this app works ok I am also reviewing this app as a labeling solution. For a company that has been working on labeling solutions for decades this app is a toy. I’m not going to consider buying your connected products until this app has features that equal the rest of your product line. My purpose requires a compact solution and since I already have a phone this would be sleek and ideal. However this app kills the potential of the printer products. I would be willing to have advanced features as add ins or pay for a separate app that can give me solutions for industries. I expected this app to do as much as your other products with keyboards do but more intuitively and with sharing and saving. I hope this encourages you to expand your products and develop a more robust offering that will be compact and rich.

I regret buying the dymo mobilewriter, wish I had a labeler with a keypad. Changes I’d like to see: 1) Make stable and resilient connections with printer. I’m constantly having to reconnect between labels. Major time waste. 2) Why do I have to manually delete all text to create a new label... please add a button to clear label text. 3) Why do I have to wait to enter the next label while the current label is printing? Can’t you handle the printing on a separate thread?! 4) Rapid label mode, just let me enter several lines of text and then have the labeler print them each as a separate label. The labeler hardware plus app is a POS and waste of time... but it is really not the hardware, if they just spent sometime on user experience, it could dominate the market. Crazy.

Dymo has fallen. I used progressive versions of their label printers for many years. Of late however they're program for Mac and overall has proven to be unworkable. The latest printer I updated to is now unused on a shelf, largely due to poor software design and support. I've gone back to simply using sheets of Avery type labels with the office printer, printing directly from common programs and databases. Stress now gone.

The app stopped working!!! It was fine until I recently tried to make a label. Every time I tried to open it, it switched to another window with a blue bar at top and white screen. I really hope they come up with an update more current that 2017!!! Otherwise, that's terrible customer service.

This app worked one time only! After purchasing the mobile labeler, I was excited to link the app so I could use The newly purchased device. What a disappointment when the app would only open up to a blank white screen. I tried reinstalling it even turning off my phone. But no matter what I did, the app only opened up to a blank white screen. Without this app I will be unable to use this labeling device and will have to return it to the company. If you're considering this purchase, be aware!

Software is not being updated to accommodate newer label types. Very frustrating user interface. This app has not been updated since 2017, which means that this app could disappear from the Play Store when Rubbermaid refuses to update it for the latest demands for Android security. After that, you will not be able to install it on your new device. Better plan on using your old device until Google abandons the Android version on your old device, and then you'll have two bricks.

App description lacks a list of compatible printer hardware devices. If the complete list is too long, then link to a list on the Internet. At least list what connectivity options the app supports e.g. USB, WI-FI, Bluetooth. I don't want to waste time installing this app and attempting to get it to work with my Dymo printer unless I am assured in advance that my printer is supported by the app. I know that.my printer only supports USB, but what about this Android app?

HORRIBLE !! Is the worst app I have ever encountered. Extremely frustrating and almost useless. Suggest you do not buy DYMO products as they simply don't care about the quality of their software. If you have bought the hardware already, I recommend you return it for a refund before opening the box.

What happens when there is ZERO quality control and follow-up. A horrendous user interface below any standard I have ever seen from a leading brand. I'm a techie, and I can handle anything without a manual... but this app and labelwriter have beaten me. I can see my printer but for some reason the app thinks there are huge lables in there, it wont allow me to select the proper size label. Oftentimes it will refuse to connect while I can see the printer on my network. Horrid experience.

They upgraded several weeks ago, and now it doesn't print any labels at all. It seems to have upgraded again, since it's like lost all my settings and template. Even when it's printing, you have to either open a saved template or reset all preferences; why can't I have a preferred template open automatically. Help menu wasn't much help for me. I am sure there are better products, but as work provides the labeller, I guess I'll have to keep handwriting my labels.

I tried opening some labels I had made a couple years ago and the text spacing is all messed up, I can't edit the text, and now I get a "this app is not responding" error every 2 seconds and I have to click "wait" to continue working each time. When I created a new label, the font selection dialog displays font names in the wrong fonts, and there is far too much space between lines of text.

Dymo's windows software is garbage so I thought I would try the app. It's just as lousy if not worse on Android. I don't understand... The software is just as important as the device. If you're going to make sloppy, incomprehensibly awkward software that diverges from the norm and rarely if ever update it, then at the very least you should make the devices open source so we can fix the problems ourselves.

This is a horrible app. The app does not obey the bounds of the display, overlaying the top menu aight he phone’s status bar, and the bottom control appear underneath the home grip. Using the same exact label, and changing the text from Island, to Dining, results in completely different sized text “Dining” is half the label height, and Island is 3/4 of the label height. The same font, and the same border... if you want labels that look your way, forget about it, it is not possible. If you consistency, not possible. The design and the print out are. It equal. There is no tech support for the MobileLabeler or the iOS app either... go to their website, and it is like the two products don’t even exist. Stay Away from this brand.

I use DYMO printers for my business and I am SHOCKED by how horrible this app is especially since it’s a DYMO app. When I came across the app I thought to myself that this product is the perfect example of a product that would do marvelous with an app making it so much more convenient, enjoyable and efficient to use Thor products but after using the app I soon found out how WRONG I was never I felt such a big corporation dropped the ball leaving (what seems like) hundreds of cust dissatisfied, disappointed and makes me kinda cringe inside that dymo refuses to focus on the importance of this app for a customer and businesses that uses their products on the daily. I have been checking back with crossed-fingers hoping that DYMO wakes up and updates this app but unfortunately seems as the only update on the app is the amount of 1-star-negative-reviews have accumulated throughout the years. I constantly re-download and delet the app in hopes that one day they will finally make it better but they don’t!

Absolutely useless with Android. Also, being wireless only, not bluetooth, makes it a pain to use with a phone. You have to constantly switch back and forth if you need pics or info for labels online. That's assuming you can get your android to connect, which is almost impossible.

If I could give this app zero stars, I would. I downloaded the version for the LabelWriter 450 Turbo for Windows 10. The app takes almost five minutes to open. The UI is clunky and cumbersome. It's not responsive. I used to love using my Dymo, but it's just a frustrating chore now. If I had an old computer with an older version of Windows, I would use that instead.

I wish I would have seen the reviews before purchasing. I've purchased many Dymo products over the years and have always been happy until now. It appears that the Android app isn't supported much any longer and hasn't been updated since 2017. I can't get it to work on my OnePlus 8 Pro and I purchase this wireless printer to specifically print from my phone. Don't waste your money if you use Android. I have no clue if the iPhone app works...
