Love this app and my Echelon bike. I was on the fence due to so many negative reviews, but I'm glad I took the chance. I've only had the app crash mid-ride on me once in 6 weeks, otherwise no problem. There are plenty of instructors and an incredible variety of ride types and music (it's all about the music for me!). Very happy with this Covid investment!

Update: I've gotten several DNFs for rides completely finished and it's incredibly frustrating The app works 99% of the time, sometimes there's a small lag, a quick exit and restart fixes it always. One thing that is hard is there will be a new class I know should be available on demand and I cannot find it, being in Alaska the number of live rides I can do is limited. Echelon worked with me to fix this and stuck through it!

Could be alright, but activating a membership with a new device is a process that I have yet to succeed at. The connected climber works fine unconnected though. Edit - Echelon Support assisted with the activation of the membership. It's still a little bare for the Climber when compared to their other connected equipment, but I expect more will be added over time.

I've had issues in the past with the app, currently there are little to no issues and the issues I do experience are brief and resolve themselves or are issues on my end. Recently, we did not have internet, I had the app on my phone, which was not connected to the bike in this instance, the bike still worked with being disconnected from the app on the ipad. It would be nice if freestyle rides counted towards your overall rides though as there are others who use this feature regularly.

I have the EX5 bike, so it's built-in. I bought the bike in August and there were numerous problems - couldn't connect to the bike, it'd disconnect on it's own and had to clear cache. After a couple updates, seemed to fix it and I could just get on and ride, no issues. The version right before the big leaderboard change was the best. They had issues and had to back it out, the version I have now is one of the worst - it can't find the bike, in the middle of a ride it will disconnect, not saving the stats from that ride. Here's hoping a new update comes out soon to fix this. I don't know of anywhere else to post feedback, so posting here. I did also send an email to customer support. Would love to have a feedback section on your website so we could enter it there.

have an account on the website, the app can't find the same account and keeps crashing. Tried reaching out to email provided and says email not found. update: email they provided to email does not exist, still. finally able to make an account. customer service was great. app isn't very intuitive. classes are not laid out as well as they could be.

The bike build is great, the instructors are great, this app..... Needs a TON of work. Take a page from the peleton app. Users want stats, they want to interact with their friends. Pretty much the only stat of what I did and for how long doesn't cut it. I'm so-so with peleton, but after a month, and seeing how much more peleton users get, I wish I spent the extra few hundred dollars.

Been a member 3+ years. I like my EX-5 bike, and the instructors have been great. This app is a dumpster fire. Have to unplug and plug-in the bike several times most days for the app to detect and connect. App quits during rides (nothing else running on the tablet), requiring starting the ride over more often than not. I've been planning to add/upgrade equipment, but the app means I won't be purchasing from Echelon and I won't renew my membership.

This app is infuriating. I have had several occasions since purchasing the bike 2yrs ago, where the app on my phone fails to connect to the bike. Recently, I don't even have an option to start my freestyle workout when in the app. Totally ruins my plans to do a workout when I can't even connect to (and therefore ride) my bike. If I could give negative stars I would.

App tells me there are no live classes nor any on demand classes. I've tried rebooting my phone, turning off Bluetooth, deleting the app and reinstalling it, nothing seems to work. I was able to access live classes for about 3 minutes, and they disappeared. Not able to pull anything back in again. I have spent half of the afternoon trying to get this app to work.. Even contacted customer support. They weren't able to get me up and running either.

I give this App a 0 for effort to con hard working people out of money. Used it once and it continues to disconnect. Just know if you purchase the rower machine, it will not work without the expensive subscription, which keeps track of calories, strokes, distance, and controls resistance all through. In other words, the ECHELON FIT APP Controls the entire machine, which crashes every 20 seconds.

EDIT2... Absolutely the worst cancelation process imaginable. If the subscription is started through their website you MUST Call to cancel but that isn't made clear until you actually try to do it. Then, if you call later in the day and no one is there, you have to wait until the next day to cancel and they'll still charge you if that's the renewal day. Reversing a charge is essentially impossible it seems.

Good thing it's a 3 month free trial. Won't be renewing for any $$$. What's the point of an app that doesn't properly record your workout? Why does your workout disappear as soon as it's complete. It's extremely frustrating and the service is not worth $40 a month. Use free ride. Track your progress on another app or spreadsheet. Wouldn't have bought the bike had I known the app was this bad.

This is definitely a data miner. They require you to have location on because it's "required for bluetooth". This is not how bluetooth works. In fact, I can see the bike in my phone's bluetooth settings but when I try to connect it says that the bike rejected the connection. Also, if you make an account and want to delete it you have to call their customer service which is completely BS. Obviously a way to get around EU data privacy requirements. Just watch YouTube workouts instead.

I wouldn't recommend purchasing this product because it requires a monthly subscription fee, and canceling it is incredibly difficult unless you call customer service. Even then, reaching someone is challenging, as the representatives often don’t speak English and tend to give you the runaround. Instead, consider buying a bike and riding it around town—it’s not only more enjoyable but also something you're likely to use more often!

After update, I have lost the ability to track my freestyle workouts. I have attempted to clear the app data in addition to reinstalling the app. Not only does the software get incrementally worse with each update, but the quality of the physical bikes is abhorrent. The pedal assembly on my EX-5 has broken in the same, non-repairable way with normal use, twice on two different bikes. Unacceptable for a bike that still costs $1,000 new. I can no longer recommend Echelon in good faith.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. Didn't update the app for 2 years since it was finally stable enough to work in 2022. Suddenly, today, it can't find the bike anymore. Spent my entire workout time trying to fix it with no success. It was working just fine yesterday. My device can find my bike without a problem. The app can't see it at all, though. No troubleshooting did anything but convince me that I'm better off buying a new bike that doesn't need a horrible app to work at all.

For some reason, the resistance levels are not stable. On one day, 18 is my flat road, the next, it's challenging. 25 is a normal climb for me, but some days, it's impossible. The problems generally happen around updates, and then a day or two later, it goes back to normal. Sometimes, though, the problem randomly occurs. It's too bad the app isn't stable because the classes are excellent. Please make this app stable so I dont have to worry about what will happen when I choose a class for the day

Trash app that crashes often. They ruined the music months ago and now even worse the new firmware locks you into echelon for good. Buy something else instead, the company will likely be gone in a few years. Edit: Regarding your response, no one cares about freestyle, we care about not intentionally blocking third party apps.

Every time you guys update this app it gets worse. So many bugs and crashes or not connecting to the bike. The last few days, every time I connect to a free style ride the entire app crashes. 1.5 years later. it worked ok for a while but still issues. can't see my bike to connect, or hovers on "connecting". I paid a lot for this dumb bike that's un usable half the time because the app is trash and won't connect.
