To be honest i love the game there are no ads, like the clash games (forgot their names), and a bunch more! This game is a top favorite of mine #2 but there is a glitch i came across today. When i upgrade my level 1 unit at the raft then go to my base or island, when i pick up another level 1 unit it shows i can upgrade it at an invisible square. Its not a problem for me and it doesnt upgrade the unit but it can get annoying at some times.
The game only works if you are online (no airplane mode) that is the down side. But other than that, this is the best game I have on my phone! You can play for hours. There are purchases you can make, but you can also play AD FREE at no cost! This makes the game #1 for play compared to all the other games I've tried. The only bad thing is, when I playa long time my phone heats up and the game might crash, not sure if it's the CPU overheating? (Not a IT guy) but it dose seem to lock up and crash
TLDR:No ads (sorta), but game almost gets boring due to no change in scenery. It's a good game with basically no ads. (You can CHOOSE to play an ad for 2x rewards. Not only is the chance rare, it's only worthwhile with value payouts.) Gameplay gets repetitive and the battle locale/background has stayed the same through 477 campaign levels, despite the loading screen image having been changed twice in the couple months I've been playing.
I like it so far ads are completely optional and worth the watch. The game is simple and satisfying. SO far. I have been war simulator gaming for over 15 years. I have played over 150 different android platform simulators of this category and I would say, socially it lacks, but it makes up for it with the simplicity. After gaming in intense SoS or MS environments...some of you know what I mean. You will get attacked. The losses are minimal. Just keep going.
Good game so far and I know it's still in development so I have 3 suggestions to make it better. 1. Don't zoom in when the first ship goes in but stay top view and allow us to zoom in if we want. 2. Give us a way to earn gems (honestly I'm not to worry about this one) and finally 3 once we deploy the troops allow us to maneuver them. Kind of like give us 2 options of auto battle and manual battle. Aside from that I see great things from this game. Sae out.
EDIT: The discord server is great for strategies, but at the end of the day you progress by earning gems and merging units to Level 9. There is a cap for how much you can earn every day/week/month unless you spend money, and that is disappointing. The game starts out pretty casual, but after a few months it becomes a grind to keep leveling up. I played for about a year and a half. It really became monotonous and I hit a brick wall that could only be overcome by spending money monthly.
LOVE the game, concept and play. HATE the controls. You can't pan across the battlefield, you have to zoom out and find where you want to focus and then zoom in on that spot. Also sometimes (Often) it won't let you drop paratroops or unload boats where you are able and want causing you to lose the battle. Also trying to rotate the battlefield causes the screen to spin way psst the point that you would like to view the battle from. If losses due to shortcomings in the game don't enrage you, 👍
Decent game. I like that it is not littered with ads like so many other games or there. I like the simple but good and tasteful graphics, and the variety of things to do. My biggest complaint is that the game is confusing in a couple different ways; first, the "tutorial" doesn't introduce you to city building; the camera is so far away that the individual units/groups are hard to see, let alone manage, detracting from any hope of strategy; there is a merge function, but no other way to level up.
Interesting concept. But full of lies. It's supposedly "multiplayer" but it makes it too obvious that you are going up against bots. They all have different names, but all have the exact same island layout, exact same troops, and exact same troop formations. Then when you finally beat the "player" it upgrades you to go against a new format. And again they all have different names, but all use the same format. Then you beat it and it upgrades you again. Rinse repeat. Super boring.
Kinda fun, but there is no info on your troops that I can find. You can't tell what troops you have unless you put them on a raft, then hold your finger on them to bring up their name, which is under your finger. And even then, the name doesn't tell you what they do at all. So the whole gameplay is just a guessing game as to what works. And how the heck do you upgrade the skill of your heros? The button it there, but greyed out. The random tips that pop up on screen are way too brief to read.
Fun for a couple weeks, but you can't do anything without spending money. You have no choice in what soldiers you get, what island you have. When you get to the point of having a decent army, your game play rewards are limited daily and when you come back after a few hours to play you have been raided and lost more than you can gain in a day. Scam by developer to push for paying for rewards. Won't do it. And I won't download another game from developer. Scam artists.
Fun at the start till you notice you will do the same task every single day because there is no cap (end game). It's literary a waste of time. Dev's don't care about what you think. I went to the discord to ask why bomb buildings can be neutralized by a single para trooper. My answer was " when you learn more you will not use them ". Pointless building? Stop using it. What a great answer. The payed currency is easy to obtain without money and it is fun but without a ending point its pointless.
Fun enough in the beginning. But progress very quickly hits a wall if you're not trying to pay. You get an upgradable building that gives you gold and gems, but the most important resource, wood, is only earned in large quantities from playing against the computer once per day. There is a reward system that gives you resources and units as you hit milestones but there's a timer on that too. I enjoyed this game for three days and now I'm stuck unless I pay, which I won't. Another game that plays nothing like the video that made me download it. I wish game developers would quit doing that. You obviously had a great idea for a game with the video, what happened? This is literally click play and watch the game play itself. Click to go to the next level and click to watch the game play that one for you as well. As a gamer, I feel like I'm watching a computer play a game with another computer. I'm just hitting play each time.
Was a great game but now it crashes ALL the time. Battles don't load, if you complete a battle you often don't get your treasure. System crashes when you buy trips so you lose your money but don't get any troops. This was a 5 star game but now 2 stars is generous. Get it fixed and I'll change my rating.
Simple and engaging interface which copies all other pvp apps. It gets stars for game play but loses stars for originality. After 3 days, I really didn't want to keep plowing time into building my island and units only to be fodder for those who are either addicted or are buying resources. What's the purpose? Well, I know what it is for the developers... I'm just not going to spend hours a day for days on end or dollars to compete. Also tired of the types of games being ad pumped...misogynistic.
The game itself is interesting, with strategy and idle game aspects mixed in. The issue is that it is DEFINITELY designed to be a party to play game, and is it is very frustrating to try to get past a few levels (probably 50 or 100, not sure). You hit a wall where you can't upgrade your buildings, or get any more of the VERY HARD TO GET without buying more soldiers. The game is fun, but definitely a pay to play game with higher frustration levels as you progress.
The game is fun; except for the annoying part where the game camera zooms in, and i can't see the whole screen. Every time i tap the screen during battle, and at the end of the battle sequence. The only way to zoom out to see the full game screen is to run the game in the background and reopen it. This rating would be more than a 2 star, but that's almost game breaking.
Repetitive and mundane. This game is barely about strategy. You need to return for at least an hour, daily, to grind over & over if you have a hope of upgrading your army enough to strategize. I made it to an offensive strength of ~350 and spent less than $5 but it was tiresome to do. I have nothing to enjoy in the game except the daily grind, or I could unload heaps of cash to level up a little bit and get a taste of the "barely there" strategy.
This game is a waste of time, and their customer support does not exist. I spent months playing and wasted my time. I'm so mad! The game glitches in the clan war against the monster and takes 1 of the 3 turns from you, and gives no points for where you were when it glitched. I lost two turns in two weeks, lowering my ranking. And it has happend more than those times. Find another game. This one cheats you out of your time and turns. Mozknows
Game has very big problem. In case of any connection issue, or even you don't wait for your rewards to be loaded, and press next, you lose your rewards, even you finished level. Many times in recruting, it takes your coins but dont give you reward. In many different ways you can stay without your rewards. This way I lost a lot, and I mean, A LOT of rewards until I found out that issue. Fix that and you get more stars. If you need to contact me my username is BTB. Best regards.
While the starting game play is fun it is not what the ads I saw was and what made me want to play the game, so first ding. Play for a bit to unlock the second mode, also not the ad game play so second ding. I could forgive that but the game does not have an exit feature nor does it allow you to back out of it, I do not do games that hold me hostage and do not recommend games that do so. If an exit option in the menu is added I'll update my review and keep playing but until then no go from me.
The game was simple and easy to use and play. Very addicting, the last update after everyone complained changed the game for the worst. It's impossible to get higher tier troops. You need to use gems (way to expensive for what you get) now. The game has gotten costly. Not interested if I have to spend a bunch of money. I used to love this game but time to move on.
Don't bother downloading this game. It's a shamelessly obvious, pay-to-win app. Everything is great on the first 3 levels since the resources needed to level up are reasonable and appropriate. Once you try to level up to 4, however, it goes from needing 4k wood to 30k wood. What kind of ridiculous and disproportionate jump is that!? An attack gives you a max of like 600 wood if you're lucky. You know how long it'll take to level up without paying? The developers are greedy. Plain and simple.
Nobody in your company actually thought that this update would work, right? I paid for the battle pass multiple times, because I used to like the game. It completely changed to a pay-to-play game and I'm formally asking for a refund. Hope that anyone else that has spent money, asks for money back too. Honestly, what are you doing? Getting stats on how many people use diamonds/pay for more? If a certain % do it, you're all good? As long as you hit the bottom line? Great look to a paying client...
