Well I've always been a big fan of SharePoint, though hadn't really started to use it again until this year. There are many improvements to SharePoint in general, especially integration with Teams. And so I find the mobile app extremely helpful and surprisingly powerful. It does a really good job on its own of adapting the view and navigation. Then using custom list views and other features, it really allows for some nice interfaces to be designed for use on mobile Awesome app!

As a semi-retired businessman, it's very helpful to be able to see my Excel and other business documents on my phone.

I have a iPhone 12 Pro Max and it use to never make me log in now every time I want to use SharePoint on my phone it makes me log into the app . I have restarted my phone and everything . Looks like the app needs to update but shows no update available on SharePoint for my phone . Any suggestions or help with this would be greatly appreciated as I use it a lot

I'd love for SharePoint to have a bit more of the usability that Notion.so has, especially to create training and onboarding documentation within (not using a Word page).

Update 1: I now use the sharepoint app as a viewer. I enjoy the recent update of being able to create folders. It is about time. Can we also get more editing features for our sites instead of going through the browser?? This will truly make the app better. It is about time the Sharepoint team made the app useful. It made absolutely no sense with what they had before. Needing two apps just to use one partially? Seriously whoever came up with that idea needs to be fired. You should have always been able to view files within the native app. Again, now you can use the app. It would be great if they added editing features to the app. Do that and this app will become what it should have been all this time. Hello Heck No, thank you for your patience and feedbacks. Yes with the latest update you can now browse Document Libraries and open files within SharePoint iOS App. We do have plans to add many more features to Document Library experience going forward. Thanks again for using Microsoft SharePoint iOS App.

Does not have meta data, views, or filters. So it's virtually impossible to work with our data. Looks very much like a rewrapped OneDrive only you can't upload a file either. Very very limited. Update: app is still very limited. Mobile site, however, has improved substantially and allows proper navigation of sharepoint on a phone. Just note that the browser you use makes a big difference. Had best luck in Puffin (Chrome struggled)

When I want to access most things I use SharePoint for, rather than give me anything like a mobile experience, this app just serves as a sort of browser to show me a poorly optimized site. This would be okay, but the issue is that the site itself is hard to navigate and downright clunky. I’ll try to tap a button and suddenly the keyboard pops up on its own and I’m typing invisible letters when I was trying to click on a drop-down menu. Very odd, makes the whole app frustrating to use. I’ve never been the biggest fan of Microsoft’s app ui, but at least it’s functional and not too buggy. Please devote some more attention to this potentially very useful app! Make it easier to navigate, and easier to find things I’m looking for. Maybe add a first-time user tutorial like most similar apps do. At the very least, make the app an app, not a proxy for websites!

The mobile app for Sharepoint is missing some very basic functionality. First, it doesn’t work as a stand-alone app: it always wants to open OneDrive for Business to view a file. Why? Why do I have to install two apps just to view a document in the Sharepoint app? The other major missing part is the ability to handle document library views. We build views to filter as well as to streamline navigation. But the app doesn’t show you views and display document libraries with all of their columns/metadata. It just shows you a “pile” of documents and doesn’t look like the same view you see in the web version. While I expect some differences, the tablet apps should be very similar to the web experience. Hoping that Microsoft makes viewing document libraries better very soon. And eliminates OneDrive for Business as a part of viewing and navigating.

Sharepoint is an interesting concept, but has always fallen short of expectations. I like having document sharing, group news, etc. In one place. However, the new improvements originating from one of the recent updates adds issues to using the application. When the program opens, it turns the screen to default for phones. It ignores Androids auto-rotate option for no apparent reason, and I use it on a tablet. File navigation is also clunky, and folder unloading does not work.

Like OneDrive it just freezes as soon as you try to navigate somewhere. Unlike Google Drive it seems to only sync once in a while. OneDrive will confidently show a month old instance of file locations.

Can't access files because when I open a site it defaults to Activity and clicking on the hamburger menu to switch to Documents no longer works for some reason. Swiping from the left edge worked a week ago, but doesn't seem to today.

Unfortunately the latest version of the SharePoint app for Android has broken the hamburger menu for most of our communication sites. The menu works fine in a browser and also works fine on the iOS version of the app. it appears it's just broken in the Android version. Hopefully this is fixed soon, it's making multiple sites unusable.

the News tab is useless, it's so confusing! The browser version is good but the app is not useful. It's hard find the file location; upload/download files? It would be nice if it has same function like browser version that we can create/copy/move files to different folder.

Hardly ever works. It takes a long time to load and even if it does load, using it is not easy as going back to the previous folder will take you back to the home page. The desktop version is much much better.

I couldn't make a more infuriating app if I tried. Where to even begin? It loads extremely slowly, but that can be tolerated. Probably the worst thing is that if you open a file and then go back you don't land in the folder containing the file. No, you land right back in the home page, so you have to navigate back to the file location. This makes looking at two separate files absolutely rage inducing. There's also no way to see the full name of files with long names and so so much more ..

Unintuitive, can only share files, cannot download files

Useless app. Can't even download files to my phone. Pointless waste of time

This app is a crippled web browser that makes SharePoint unusable. Just when I thought it couldn't be any harder to use this app, their most recent update made it to where the sites won't even load and the menu button does nothing. Absolutely unacceptable from a huge company charging exorbitant prices for this rotting garbage.

Since the latest update my device is significantly slower when using SharePoint navigating it takes three times as long and the UI is totally unnecessary. A tablet or phone friendly UI is needed ASAP the current one looks and runs like windows 98, it needs sorting desperately.

when I open a Microsoft Word doc it says it's not compatible with the app version. it's an annoying app because some buttons won't work and it uses up space for stuff that doesn't matter. it's not fun to press buttons cause it thinks you are pressing another button. it's just not user friendly because it doesn't put the most functional and useful buttons first.

Please fix this app!! SharePoint in Browser can be such a powerful tool, but the app doesn't work at all. When I go on a site, the home button doesn't work, I have to swipe to see the site navigation. If I click on a PDF it tells me to sign in, which I am. I also can't download, edit etc. that PDF, because those buttons also don't work. If I try to download a file from a document library, it downloads some aspx file. Completely unusable!! And on IOS it doesn't work at all. Please fix it!

awkward interface and operation. file download does not work. back button takes you all the way to the home page, instead of previous page or up. unuseable.

none of the buttons work in the SharePoints you create when you go on then. apps only use is telling you you have SharePoint sites, which I knew already as I downloaded this app to get to them on the move.

Ranges from slow to completely nonfunctional for the most basic tasks like accessing the document library or inviting a new number to a site.

I don't know why this app even exists?if the point of this app was to see shared folder and files, it's USELESS. Can't even get it to function. works fine on PC, but why make a shell of an app with absolutely no features? and Microsoft wonders why people don't want to switch to windows 11.. lol, what a joke

Useless. Trying to use my password manager to sign into pages within the SharePoint app keeps resetting it, constantly forgets where you last were, and downloading a PDF doesn't work because apparently my phone doesn't have a PDF reader installed. If I do it through the website I get about 6 apps to choose from. Thought this would be better than the iOS version, at least it doesn't crash when trying to download a file it refuses to open...

unfortunately, it no longer works. I used to be able to see all of our different files for work, then I kept getting pushed to get lists, which isn't compatable with everything we use sharepoint for. now I can't get the hamburger menu to open at all. can't send feedback either, the button just says to turn on shake to feedback, which is a dumb addition. and shake feedback doesnt even work, it gives the same popup.

It’s almost like the Microsoft engineers push out O365 updates and go back to using Google around the office. Straight down the line Microsoft is making enough progress to keep us hanging on, but more often than not the apps are clunky, the functionality is slow, unstable, and ill conceived. This app really doesn’t do anything to add Sharepoint features for iOS. Some with Team, Planner, and OneDrive (although that is the best by a long shot). Microsoft should hire someone that is an expert in Evernote that knows all the ways that app is lighter, faster, and more functional than OneNote on every platform. Please, make these apps work for users that want you to succeed. We’re invested in Microsoft, we’re support these tools around the office, and they’re either too illogical for beginners or too clunky for advanced users.

A deep breath of hot garage. abysmal file management/navigation. For example, I click into the documents within a site, then pick a folder and click down into a sub-folder. Then one more level to another sub-folder (full of jpg and png images, in this case). Great, I've arrived. Now I click to preview the first image and get a nice full view of it with two options to share or view details. That's fine, but a button or swipe to view the next/previous file would be nice here. So I use the android back button to take a step back and it drops me all the way back to the main sharepoint start page. WHAT?! Note, there's no on-screen, in-app back button from the image preview. so if I want to view more than one file, I have to navigate back into the site, then the folder and sub-folder and so on? I tried this a few times with the same result after restart and quit to use OneDrive instead, which worked fine. aside: I also attempted the same task described above in the mobile browser version of sharepoint. the image preview was unusable, glitching with the keyboard expanding and retracting continually. (dolphin browser)
