If there is a problem with the credit card, the app should be more verbose about that. I kept trying to buy parking, only to be told "we can't do that right now" which implies it can be done, but later. I thought there was an issue with the app - turned out it was a typo on the expiration date on the card. "There is a problem with your card" would have alerted me immediately to reexamine the details.
Helpful but problematic. It only shows green for meters that aren't running. So on a Sunday, 100% of the meters will show as available when, in fact, they are all taken. Also, it wouldn't let me add time to a meter that still had time left on it from the previous vehicle. I had to set an alarm to add time via my phone when the other person's time finally ran out. I wanted to just pay to top off the 2 hours when I arrived. I did enjoy being able to pay by phone and check the remaining time.
Didn't work at all! Said it sent me a confirmation number that I never received!!! Wouldn't accept my master card, kept saying Apple pay, which I don't have!! Took $1 in quarters and then told me the transaction was CANCELED!!! WHAT GIVES!!! Definitely needs improvement! Either it's rigged so they can give tickets or the whole system is defective!
Friggin terrible. The beach area we always visit just switched to this app and it's useless. To use the app you have to park and then find a payment kiosk to locate the zone number. The old app, picked up your zone based on GPS. If I have to walk to a payment kiosk to get a zone number why do I need an app, I may as well pay at the kiosk.
Just sooooo slow. It makes you confirm your email/phone number every time you want to make a payment, and for the past month it hasn't worked at all and I've had to scramble for coins. Also it won't let you extend your session for less than an hour, so if you're running late, you have to pay at least a full dollar more or risk a ticket. This app sucks.
Won't let me add time if there is still time left on meter. Asks if I'd like to park anyways, clicking yes does nothing at all. Not to mention sign in/sign-up process is incredibly convoluted and redundant. Doesn't even update on top of the meter being expired... So I can't use the app to pay for my spot at all despite the meter being expired
This app could not possibly be more frustrating. I just want to park. I don't want to find Wi-Fi, search for an app, install an app, use up space on my phone, register with an app, have my password not work, reset my password twice, set up the app, and then if I'm lucky pay for the parking. I don't want my parking habits tracked, I don't want to have to enroll my vehicles, I don't want any of this. Quarters or tap to pay are much better solutions. Totally awful experience.
Absolute worst and most unnecessarily complicated user experience possible. The point of a mobile based parking pay system is to make things quick and easier. This app takes 10+ minutes of hoops to jump though to create an account and enter all kind of information that shouldn't be required just to data collect. You should be able to use as an anonymous user to make it fast. After all the BS the meter didn't even show up with the specific meter code entered into the app so I just gave up...
I could never get the app to work. I signed up for it. It wouldn't take my card information and said my phone was not set up for an account so I tried to create another one. Went through all the sets and when it sent the verify code to my phone and I entered it ,it said it was already with and account. I entered the same information as I did the first and did the same thing all over again. I uninstalled it twice and tried again. Same thing. So now I'm done with it. Crappie app. Fix!
Incompetent app. It confirmed that I had paid for my parking after numerous attempts already to get it to work. Came back to a parking ticket and no active sessions in the app because I guess it really didn't go through. No charge on my card, either. I come across an error 100% of the time I use this app, the parking meter isn't much better. Laughably bad at best, a scam at worst.
Like many people have said, the app does not notify you that your time is about to expire. Luckily, I set a timer on my phone and walked back just in time. I waited nearby the meter for the time to expire completely just to test it. There were no notifications about the time expiring or to extend the time. Also, it seems that once time is expired, you can't add more time to the meter.
Login expired, and now the Sign-in button does nothing. I know it's not a connection issue; I literally hooked the Logcat from Android Studio up to make sure it wasn't outputting any sort of invisible error. Tried on multiple devices too. And I was able to sign in just fine on the website. It's like the button's onClick just got disconnected from it. This is super basic stuff; your developers and your QA need to do better. Luckily I had coins on me when I first ran into this. Imagine if not.
Text notifications are broken and caused me to get a ticket when I realized only too late that the app didn't send me the 10 minute notice I had it configured for. I enabled the 15 minute notice as well and that didn't send either, not surprisingly. I caught it at 2 minutes to go and avoided another ticket. I've enabled email notifications now, we'll see if those work. Selecting feedback in the app doesn't work either. Unreliable, better off taking quarters. 10/8/21 - Notifications (pop up and email) are still broken, just got an "about to expire" notice a full 10 minutes after it had already expired.
App almost never works. I've only gotten it to actually work about 3 times. It sits there searching for zones forever. I try to put in my zone, but it won't pop up. Just keeps loading. It's a cool concept, and if it actually worked, I'd give it a 5 star rating based on convinenence. But it doesn't, and it's a waste of time sitting in class trying to make it load when it won't. I barely ever review anything, but I feel that this one needed to be thrown out there. Hopefully the company will fix.
It simply didn't work. I'm in Palisades Park, NJ and I was already in a spot. Nothing in the app came up to let me choose the spot. The physical meter on the street was out order so I was forced to download the app. I added a payment method, added my car and license plate info, and still I couldn't park. Ended up parking in a free spot down the block. There are many parking systems out there that work. Why Pal Park chose this one, I can't understand.
Until now, the app was working fine-ish. I wouldn't be able to find my parking meter in the drop down that finds meters near me, so I would manually input it. The issue I'm experiencing now is that it takes me to a new login/registration page that asks for my phone number or Facebook account. If I input my number, it asks me to create an account. If I try to create an account (which I shouldn't have to do), the app crashes and I get sent back to the login/reg page with no ability to log in.
This is one of the useless app I have used. Payments doesn't go through. They charge you $1 extra for service fee than the meter. I am completely fine with that. At least use that money to make your thing work. Sometimes thought it says payment went through it's doesn't show in active sessions. I got a parking violation ticket because of that.
Won't let me log in or reset my password. I use this app at my son's University. I can no longer login. I tried to change my password but when they send you the link, the link takes you to a blank page with just a header and all the social media sites pages on it. Nothing is clickable on the page except the social media links. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and restarting my phone, nothing works. I have tried sending the reset link to my email and having it texted.
The worst app I’ve ever used. If you couldn't track which parking spots are available via GPS, then just allow users enter a zone number! I had to walk all the way to a kiosk far away and pay with my card. At least it’s helping reduce America’s obesity rate, I guess. I have no idea what Palisades Park was thinking, replacing parking kiosks with this app. I’m sure someone pocketed a bribe, or maybe their computer science graduate son made it as his senior project
