Very limited features with the free version
I used to love this app, but now I find it difficult to use. I recently got a new phone and I didn't install this app right away. When I finally got around to installing it, I didn't think it seemed like the same app as I had before. I don't know if they changed it, but I can't get it to do the same things it used to do. Im very disappointed because I love my Phillips Hue lights, but they don't work well without the app. I won't be buying any more Hue products if I can't get it working
forced to go through payment process before seeing anything other than hype. if it really did everything it says it does as well as it implies it does 3 days is far too short a trial period. it's rather short for any trial. so for me the product was just a prop in a high pressure 'open your wallet show us your cards' sales tactic which always makes me hastily retreat a considerable distance.
Absolute garbage, 5 ads before I could actually see what the app does, instant uninstall
$20 app struggles. 6+ lights, app crashes, clear cache and lose lights. Lights added to a room wont inherit the scene, must recreate. Color picker is awful. Can't move a light from one room to another. Can't rename lights for easy ID. Rooms can't use a scene you have in another room. Can't group lights and then group groups so can control banks of recessed lights in a big room. If you pair a light and then try to add it back, it won't do it. Reset method doesn't work. Really like a refund.
Deceptive - looks great, looks like it should be the hue app. It's not the real one, which means I connected unknown third parties to a device hard-wired on my network that talks to everything else, and paid into it thinking I'd get the features that are missing because they are on the real app. Should have looked more into it, but this is pretty reckless and dangerous to setup.
This app is so bad, unavoidable add pop us won't even allow me to connect my light bulbs. Adverts running in the background, then playing over the video instructions. What a horrible experience! avoid at all cost! clearly they don't care about their users or products, app is only good for browsing temu and Ali express.I will have to take my smart bulbs bk, useless

What is this? I'm trying to turn my light on and off via Alexa not watch ads.
App is damn near unusable. Every second tap causes a 30 second advert to pop up unless you pay for a monthly subscription. It's easier to use the light switch! Update 13/01/24. The response from the devs to another review is that they need the ad revenue to pay for the free app. Sorry but I paid for the app when I bought the bulb. Stop gouging your customers!
I thought this would work wellfor me. I looked at 7 day trial but then monthly rates after trial jump quite a bit. I decided its cheaper to just get the yearly rate. It made more money sense. I was unable to set up and make this work so I wanted my yearly subscription money refunded. I read where google wont do it and you have to contact developers electronically. A total ripoff. No contact from them and no refund. They must really need the money if they have to steal it like this. Good luck..
its a heavy app and hangs in between...and top it all it gives only 3 days trial. a wastage of time and resources
I couldn't even use the app. it wouldn't do anything, just had the title of the app with a lamp shining on it but I couldn't go anywhere ect.
imagine needing to pay a $25 a year subscription to change the color of a light bulb 🙄. i sure do love this age of innovation, where even literally just a remote control requires a subscription
too many ads. makes the app not work. they are ads when a song is playing o. you tube and you tube music have ads like Pandora at this time. they need to fill out a TreasuryDirect.gov Application applying online. Much love, Krystal, Joey's Mommy
App can not find a bulb to sync, add plays every 2 seconds, or if you hit retry to find the light. Following instructions to factory reset the light, is a practice of insanity, as nothing happens other than you turning the light on, and off expecting a different result.
Couldn't possibly be worse. I WILL NEVER, EVER BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT WITH THE BRAND NAME PHILLIPS HUE ON IT AGAIN. Relentless adds, impossible to add lights ..oh, and did I mention the relentless adds? And if you think I'm kidding, just see for yourself. You'll see. I will forgo the supposed benefits of 'smart lighst', delete the app, and add a dimmer switch. Literally the biggest waste of time and money I can recall.
