I have been using Wyze products for awhile now. True, there are always pros and cons to every camera/scale/lock/etc. BUT, I believe Wyze is comprised of legitimately good people who are looking to always improve their products and software and options. One of my FAVORITE functions of the cameras is that you can set it to pick up SOUND, not only trigger recording by motion. Which is important to me for my dogs, which is the main reason I got the 360 pan cam to start with. aaand I mean: FREE CLOUD Y’ALL!!! NO ONE else does this. Or you can choose to pay for full motion capture for another super inexpensive fee. Their customer support has been phenomenal so far, but my Wyze band is malfunctioning so I will soon find out how they handle it! Lol but I TOTALLY recommend Wyze over competitors. I have a mix of Wyze, Ring, and Cove products at the moment, but plan to fully switch over to Wyze only as they release products that allow me to replace those by Ring and Cove. Only thing is I haven’t figured out how to use the SD card exactly. But I haven’t had time to hit up their customer service so they can walk me through it.

I have quite a few cameras from wyze & 8 love them. they catch EVERYTHING! And that's my goal. I feel secure. However, I recently bought the wired camera & it keeps losing connection every night (and chimes about every 5-6 minutes). Though it's possibly my Internet, which I'm having looked at soon, it might be worth mentioning that it is possible for that to happen & it not be a battery camera.

I have the Wyze 3 cam for my two cats. So far I love having these but for one of my cats it’s important I be notified after she uses her litter. I subscribed to plus for the Alexa integration so that Alexa can announce it for me. I set it up, waited and nothing.. no notification even though it recorded her using the litter. The next morning, at 5:30am, Alexa announces (really loud) that the litter box has been used, and it was my husband who was changing the litter, lol.. so apparently it can tell the difference between human and pet, which is nice.. I would love to only have it notify my of my cat using it, but in Alexa there is only an option for human AI detection. I can’t set it up for the pet AI, which defeats the purpose. I’ve canceled my plus as there’s no point of it now. The other suggestion is just an app issue. I would love it if, since I have Wyze on my iPad, I could use it in landscape mode. If I want to look at events, they are locked in portrait mode and I have to constantly flip my iPad around to read events, then click on one and then it goes to landscape where I have to flip it back. I know this is trivial, but it would be nice if I could just stay in landscape mode. I do love my little cams though and hope maybe these two issues might be resolved in an update someday. :)

The price is hard to beat, but the app in particular does suffer from a notable bug and the v3’s image quality can look over sharpened and pixely even in HD. Again, can’t complain much for the price though. I bought the v3 solely for the time lapse feature to do time lapses of my plants. I immediately discovered a bug that drove me mad until I accidentally figured it out so I’m writing this review in hopes it helps others with the same issue. Before anything make sure to format your micro sd. The app will format it to the proper exfat format needed for time lapse so there is no need to do this externally on your computer. Now if you attempt to record your first time lapse before you do anything else on this camera this is where you’ll run into the problem. What will happen is, the time lapse will finish, you’ll go to check your album to see the video and nothing will be there. This is a bug in the app. If you take the microsd out and inspect it on your computer you will confirm there is a video file contained in the time lapse folder, but on the app the video is no where to be found. So how do you get the app to let you see it!? Well, I stumbled on a fix for this. Go back to the camera options and choose “take photo” from a previous video event. Once you take a photo from the video feed your time lapse will suddenly appear. I hope this helps.

Great..when it works. I have 8 cameras, all working fine until the last update. This is consistent with most of your recent reviews. Loading camera spins and never connects until I restart camera. Buffers. All day long. This obviously not a ME problem, but a problem with your last update. Fix it please and roll back until you do. Frustrating. UPDATE: I did as recommended and logged out of account and logged back in. Better Working okay BUT 3-5 load okay fine, but many still hang up.

Good app but with issues. Good products still recommend them as long as they are not the older devices. Once you have a old device it seems like they make it have strange issues to force upgrade. My new cams work great older don't. But even with that the new stuff is great. Beta testing is a joke, applied so many times just to be turned down. Even being one of the first to sign up and have the device's and requirements they are requesting doesn't help.

Had wyze over 3 years now, mostly a good experience. As of late, tho, it's been frustrating, to say the least. I've paid for a mesh system I didn't need, I'm locked into faster internet speed plan from my ISP I was told would fix it, I've bought all new expensive high endurance sd cards that solved nothing, and the list goes on. Basically, I'm way too invested into wyze to throw it all away and start over with another company and to frustrated with all the bugs to even bother turning them on.

There are a lot of reasons I love Wyze. It’s great as a baby monitor to be able to peek in my baby from anywhere, anytime. It has great quality, yes, even in nighttime mode. We have been using a v2 for 2 years with minimal problems. The only real issue we have is that it will sometimes disconnect from Wifi with no audible notification, and as I’ve said, we use it as a baby monitor, which means if it disconnects and turns off, especially during the night, we have no idea if baby is up crying or not. But we have loved it enough that we just bought 3 new v3 cameras. And that is where is gets rough and why I cannot give a 5 star review. Although the camera quality is still amazing, and the night vision is amazing (for indoor and outdoor), each v3 camera is constantly making crackling sounds on the app. You can’t even really hear what actual sound there is because the crackling is so loud. And again, as a baby monitor, us having the camera up on our phones at night makes for a really loud and annoying sound to try and sleep through. Wyze, PLEASE, update this!! I was so excited for these new cameras and am just so disappointed that I spent more for these and they seem to be garbage. I have read forums and I know it’s a common issue. Lastly, I do love the option to have these as outdoor cameras, but unless you have a plug up near where you want it placed, it isn’t going to give any security as anyone could just walk up and unplug it…???

The app seems to be working better, but I'm still having issues with cameras not recording events, and oftentimes when I open the app, the cameras don't want to load unless I go in and force stop it and clear the cache. I've also had a couple of issues with my locks connecting. Hopefully, this stuff was fixed in the most recent update. As a whole, I still love your company and its products.

Many, maybe even most of, the times I try to use the App at least one thing doesn't work. I have eight cameras. Consistently, at least one is offline. Cameras that im paying for storage only show a snapshot, no video. Sometimes the vacuum cleaner pays attention to the zones I set, other times ignores them, goes into the bathroom and gets stuck behind the door or on the bath mat. It's very frustrating!

I originally went with Wyze cameras because they didn't require a monthly subscription. They gave me 12 seconds of video capture, but encouraged you to sign up for their optional subscription for more features. HOWEVER, as my cameras aged (and some stopped working) the new models I replaced them with will not capture video when motion is detected. NOW you get only a single picture! I'm going to start searching for an alternative.

Notifications rarely work and are frustratingly unreliable. There is no Rhyme or Reason as to when they work or don't. A package was just delivered to my front porch today, I did not receive a notification. However, when I went to retrieve the package, I got almost an instantaneous notification. My wife has an iPhone and does not share this experience, so I believe it is an issue isolated to Android devices. Unfortunate, because I just bought two additional cameras for outdoor surveillance.

I'm still sticking with Wyze for now, but their big app update change was a downgrade. As others have stated with the notification sounds, automation, and I'll add responsiveness. Automation have been hit and miss anymore. Sometimes it recognizes I'm near home, other times it doesn't is one example. It's slow all around from detection, notifications, and basic app loading.

When starting to set everything up, the instructions were all zoomed in. I could not see the full picture of wire placements and diagrams. We spent about 2 hours just trying to set up their chime controller just to find out you don't even need that set up. When installing the Wyze, all you need to do is replace the actual doorbell. You can skip on adding their chime controller. Then while in the app go to the video and press the options on the top left. From there just set chime to manual.

I've had Wyze cameras for years & I used to recommend them to everyone. I do not anymore because the quality has gone down so much. The cameras constantly disconnect, events don't register (even though the camera moves with the movement, but still doesn't register as an event), &one has started clicking at night when it never did before (turning off night vision solved it). I hate the idea of going to another company when I've invested so much in so many cameras, but Wyze is unreliable now.

I purchased these security cameras around the summer of 2020 and they were phenomenal until just a couple of months ago they only started to record 12-second videos or pay the subscription which isn't the most expensive for one camera but adding up all of the several cameras that I own it adds up to a good amount of cash annually. That’s not my biggest issue tho, The problems begin when I started the free trial for the more “PREMIUM” subscription to see if it was worth it and start paying for all of my cameras, but turns out that I can't even see the recordings from all of my cameras that have free trial added to them… on top of everything the notifications have a big delay and by the time it lets me know someone entered my driveway they’re already knocking on my door. So it kind of takes away the SECURITY part of it because by the time the app lets me know, someone more than likely already entered my house…. Also when viewing the cameras live there is a delay. We even checked with our wifi provider to make sure that all of these delays and issues didn’t have anything to do with the wifi. Our wifi provider replied and said that our wifi is running smoothly with no problems at all. All these things and several other issues are taken into consideration it makes me want to switch to another security camera company. One major thing that I will mention is the affordability of the cameras which is definitely a pro. Hello, thank you for your review! We have options available such as Cam Plus Lite with Name Your price as we want cloud recordings to be coupled with Person Detection to make them more useful. For more info, please check https://support.wyze.com/hc/en-us/articles/4415330946075. If you do not wish to use CPL, you may use a microSD card to record.

I’ve cleared everything with internet provider that it isn’t my WiFi, let’s start there. Now, not saying that Wyze isn’t great because when I initially got it, it was. However lately it has been very slow in monitoring. For example there’s about a 10 second delay when watching live streaming. When going back to view playback, it’s always freezing or doesn’t complete the video and stays stuck on 3 seconds of the playback. The quality of the video is grainy and not clear at all. Also sound is all ways off as well and I assume because of the delay, hut when watching live or playback, the sound itself goes in and out even when I know there was sound there. Also when trying to access live stream, it takes more than me having to try three times before I can actually get anything to show up. After failing the three attempts , I have to at least exit out of the app twice in order to get back in and finally have a picture up reflecting the live feed. It wasn’t like this until updates started happening. Could we please get a camera that both shows clearly and is able to have clear sound. I purchased this product to make sure there was safety in my home and now, I don’t feel that my family & I are safe. This is a major issue and Wyze have to make some major improvements. I’m trying to convince my partner not to switch, but other options are looking better and better due to the continuous trouble we’re having with Wyze. Hi there. We are very sorry to hear you are running into some trouble and would like to look into it. Used for thermostat, app will let you set a schedule with modes and tempatures, but there is no way to resync all modes in the schedule. For example, if you have my at home tempature default set to 78, but change it to 76, the temperatures in the schedule may not reflect the change you made to the default. Good concept, poor execution.

These don't work. Every two weeks or so the stupid camera stops working and I have to restart it. It's only 2 years old, but since that's out of warranty and (after getting disconnected many times from customer service) they determined it's a hardware problem, I guess I'm just SOL. This is the second one I've had and I won't be buying another one.

I wanna love 'em but the app won't let me. Glitchy. Do I want to have an alert in the middle of the night indicating someone at my front door when in reality it's drops of rain? no no I do not. and that is just one of many issues that do not make these reliable SECURITY cameras. These are cameras that maybe, just maybe, they will give you accurate event notifications.

I love the price, but why the app is sooo bad??? It's such a struggle to see our morning videos at the ende of the day, you have to swipe and load the video list by sections, sooo many times, this happens in all of our phones. It would be so nice if all the videos from the same day would load at once, if the app would be so much more normal and friendly like any other camera app.

I've been with Wyze for just about 3 years now and I have to be honest, the whole system is seriously lacking. I pay the annual subscription which is supposed to allow for whole event recording without cooldown, but there is little difference between it and the free subscription. Videos are weirdly timed and often incomplete, if they play at all. Lighting changes cause the camera to go absolutely crazy. I have adjusted settings with no change. All in all, I do not recommend Wyze.

Wyze was the best camera company, but they got greedy. When the company first started you bought a camera and there were no additional costs/subscriptions that's the reason most people including myself bought into their platform . Now if you want decent playback you have to pay extra or else it's about impossible to view events, because it rarely works. I constantly have problems with SD cards and my cameras seem to be offline most of the time. I hate being negative, but it's the truth!

I upgraded to Cam Plus and I don't get any notification for motion. My camera won't even pick up movement. I have everything set to pick up motion and still nothing. Disappointing because the camera has a great picture. I won't be buying anymore Camera's. Update: these cameras are even worse than when I initially bought them. They have connectivity issues, they never record more than a few seconds. So you never get a full video and it is usually just the end of what triggered the cameras.

Even when I get a notification from the doorbell, I check it, but I can't see anything due to an error. Today, I went to review the events, and they were all gone. The system is glitchy. It's supposed to enhance security, but instead, it's stressful not being able to see who is there or what the notification is about. It's worse than being completely unaware. This shouldn't even be called a security camera. The doorbell fails about one-third of the time and causes me daily frustration.

Worked okay for a while, then we all stopped getting notifications. The camera still works, but no one can get notifications. I went through all the troubleshooting steps. I scoured the internet and found many more people having the same issue. So it's pretty useless now. *update - they sent me an article with troubleshooting steps, but I've already done that. The fact that it's multiple phones in my household not getting the notifications tells me the problem is on their end, not mine.

Edit: if on the free plan, you will not be getting event notifications. You're supposed to, but you won't. The events will continue to get created and stored in history. The Wyze support will tell you how sorry they are that their app doesn't function and you're having a bad experience. The end. --- Ok app, but cameras repeatedly disconnect on their own and unable to see from the app or reconnect when away, defeating the purpose of buying them.

Definitely not what it once was. We have had Wyze for years. Recently, I have to completly factory reset multiple cameras to get them to come back online. It is time-consuming and frustrating, to say the least. Not sure what changed or if it is to cause customers to buy new cameras/ purchase an upgrade/ package. Disappointed, and have to spend time and money on a new camera system. I do not recommend.

I’ve been a long time user. Since generation one. As time progresses the whole system gets more and more broken and useless. The app crashes constantly, freezes, or is unresponsive. I’ve tried everything but it’s almost like my whole system has become useless the longer I use it. My baby monitor went from integral to my baby’s raising to officially useless at tracking my toddler. I can’t emphasize enough how the whole system went down hill. Camera notifications are random and unreliable. It tells me about the shadow of the trees consistently but when my catalytic converter was stolen off my car in my own driveway it didn’t even register a sound notification. The lights either have delayed response from the app or they just go to maximum brightness which is counterintuitive to bedtime routine for my toddler as they use to be great nightlights. The doorbell doesn’t work through the app anymore. It alerts the chime right quick and then continues to signal the chime on repeat. But I can’t use the app to then talk to the person at my door. I gave up on Wyze sense literally the same week I got those inoperable things and as such I refuse to try the generation two setup. I loved all these products. I used them to the point where I don’t even know what a life without them was like which is why now that they are mostly a nuisance over convenience I’m burned by the fact I purchased them all to begin with. As I said, every day I get a little less wyze in life. Hello! Thank you for letting us know about this. Your feedback helps us do better. We are looking into this issue and hope to resolve it promptly and accurately. If you have not, please reach out to our Wizards team (https://wyzelabs.zendesk.com/hc/en-us) so we may help diagnose the issue. Please include as much information as possible.

Horrible experience with wyze. The app is not working almost all the time. It shows that the camera is off but I am in proximity and I can see how the led is on. Always ask to reset the network because it can not connect. And other problem. Probably I will look for a competitor that offers a better system and app on Black Friday.

I got the Wyze cameras last year and used the cam plus while out of town, and for the last 3 months I have tried to cancel my subscription but a bug in the app made it impossible. In an attempt to finally stop payments from going through, I completely deleted my account and lo and behold - I still got charged. Since I did it through the app, Wyze cannot do anything about it, and I have no idea who to contact about this issue. I will be selling these and getting something else.

Can honestly say this the most frustrated I've been at an app in a while. Who puts a color wheel with finger movement in the same panel as a swipe gesture? The MFA is garbage and won't allow pasting. And many of the text boxes have no cursor so you can't tell if you're actually interacting with them or not. But the devices themselves are great.
